Pakistan third amongst countries with worst reputation

To be fair, if you go on the rest of the internet you will find Indians saying some of the most horrible things about Pakistan and saying the most daft things about India.

I agree with that.
But it is more of an internal conversation. If a pakistani comes in from of them, i am sure they will give the respect deserved.
India itself is so diverse. We have almost all the races, castes, religions etc yet we have been together. Yes there has been some internal resentment, but we find ways to sort things out.
Early this year u might havr heard about africans being attacked. It was a phase, there are no more such incidences. A lot of africans live near my house and they have intergrated well in society.

Racism only exists when there is limited contact with others and when people are ignorant about others.

Do you have any idea how much land India hast lost due to independence movements? Almost 900,000 square miles. That's almost 75% of India's current size. Not to mention there are several movements within India that still want independence, so it seems as if more territory will be lost.

In big country's like India, keeping the state together is a tricky task. Especially when there are feuds between different people based on ethnicity and religion, such as lynching people for eating beef or telling people to go back to Africa because they are black.

China?
I dont think so.
China has some good reputation

If you can't handle the facts, just say so.

Just because I'm Pakistani I am not allowed to talk about history? Yet Indians can tell me what and what didn't happen in 1971? Marvellous double standard you have there.

Pakistan third amongst countries with worst reputation

The Reputation Institute in its annual RepTrak index has named Pakistan in the list of countries with the worst reputation.

The index is calculated based on the level of tolerance, safety, standard of living and attractiveness to tourists. The overall marks are given out of 100. It is dominated by African and Middle Eastern countries, though European and South American states also make appearances. Intolerance, religious extremism, and poor foreign relations seem to be common features across all countries on the list.

  1. Egypt — 45.22
Egypt is the most populated country in North Africa with liberals and Muslim Brotherhood voters alike opposed to the current government. This has given Egypt a dangerous reputation and tourists have been warned to stay away.

  1. Romania — 44.11
Since it joined the EU in 2007, over two million Romanians have immigrated to richer EU states. This has had a negative impact on the East European country’s reputation amongst those against immigration.

  1. China — 44.08
Although China is economically powerful and has a strong export industry, its human rights violations have given it a bad name.

  1. Turkey — 42.73
President Erdogan recently survived an attempted military coup, which led to thousands of academics, journalists and public sector workers to being arrested. There is also talk of bringing the death penalty back.

  1. Ukraine — 42.54
Along with racism and xenophobia, government transparency is also a problem in Ukraine. Over the summer, there were large protests against President Viktor Yanukovych in Kiev.

  1. Colombia — 42.46
Drug-related crime is ruining this country’s reputation. The nation is one of the world’s biggest producers and exporters of cocaine and the government has to send patrols all over the jungle to hunt for illegal makeshift factories.

  1. Kazakhstan — 41.58
Kazakhstan’s oil reserves have made it a fast-growing economy, but its relatively desolate landscape means it’s not high on most tourists’ wish-list.

  1. Nicaragua — 41.08
Nicaragua’s active volcanoes make it popular with adventurous travellers but in this central American country, abortions are illegal without exception. Droughts also plague Nicaragua, a problem for tourism.

  1. Angola — 40.95
Angola has one of the fastest growing economies in the world due to its vast mineral supplies but poverty and corruption in the aftermath of a decades-long civil war and extreme droughts makes it a risky holiday spot.

  1. Algeria — 40.52
Corruption and media censorship have made this African country gain a bad reputation.

  1. Russia — 39.82
Putin’s foreign policy, corruption in the country, media censorship and the government’s expansionist policies have made Russia earn a bad reputation for itself, especially after its annexation of Crimea.

  1. Nigeria — 36.37
Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa thanks to rich reserves of oil but religious extremism with terrorist groups like Boko Haram have made Nigeria unstable. Nigeria’s reputation was further harmed by an Ebola outbreak.

  1. Saudi Arabia — 36.32
Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s biggest suppliers of oil but that wealth is highly concentrated in the hands of the royal family, who are the face of the country for most outsiders. Gender rights still have a long way to go too, with women still not allowed to drive, though they have been able to vote since 2015.

  1. Pakistan — 31.03
Sadly, Pakistan is seen by many as a hotbed of religious extremism, and this has affected tourism accordingly. Although there is a burgeoning feminist movement led by the likes of Malala Yousafzai, women still endure subordination for the time being.

  1. Iran — 29.74
Iran was a comparatively liberal place in the 1970s, but after the Islamic Revolution its reputation diminished as a more authoritarian government took power, civil unrest became the norm and relations with the US and Israel collapsed.

  1. Iraq — 24.56
Iraq has been one of the most high-profile war zones over the last 20 years, making it the country with the worst reputation in the world. The US and UK-led Iraq War began in 2003 and is still technically ongoing

Bagdad endures almost daily suicide bombings and insurgencies seem to have no end in sight.

I am pretty sure that either the members of this think-tank are extremely ignorant or some idiots are running a fake think-tank to mint money from their masters and manipulators. There are many countries in the world where fascism is prevailing in its worst form. Don't go far. The filthy Hindu extremists who are currently ruling India routinely kill, punish, and exploit the members of Indian minorities on daily basis. Speaking against Hindutwa is a much bigger crime, just talking in favor of the people of occupied J&K (who are struggling for their right of self-determination) can take not just your own life but also that of your family members. Intolerance in its most ugly form is prevalent in India. Israel is not any better than India. Generations of Palestinians have suffered extreme suppression in the hands of filthy Jewish fanatics. Like India and Israel, Myanmar is another country where humanity is in deep shame. I wonder the members of this think tank are as much of the fools as their report is portraying them. I doubt! These idiots are actually the foot-soldiers of someone else having been assigned to do the dirty work.

I asked u how much land did india lose after independence. And u are quoting 75%? Are u high?
We only gained territory, and lost some to chinese in war. We did not lose any to independence movements.

As far as ur independence goes, please share any instance when ur founding fathers actually went to jail or sacrificed anything to get pakistan anything. They just piggybacked on the indian independence movement. And that is why u got the quality of leaders who were almost worthless after jinnah and liaqat ali khan. Our leaders had fought for independence and knew the value of it and that is why we stand where we are today while u went thru coup after coup after coup.

And yes india is a vast country, and people know they have much to gain from being associated with india. They get that brand value, that economic, cultural muscle behind them. That is why even the smallest of states like sikkim or goa have joined india. Arunachal pradesh , the most remotest part of india, they are the most patriotic. A arunachali got a ashok chakra on 15th august

.
They probably asked some western people what they thought. The world doesn't revolve around them. Pointless thread and opinions.

You know India wasn't always ruled by the British, right? And that India existed before 1947, right? Throughout your history, you have lost almost 900,000 square miles of land. That's undisputable fact, where as we have only lost almost 60,000 square miles of land.

As far as our independence goes, our people fought and died to get it, no matter what nonsense you guys pull form your rear, nothing will change that. The most ironic thing is that you celebrate that day as your Independence Day, when you lost almost 360,000 square miles of land! And the coups we have had are to dispose of poor leaders, which I and any sane person would prefer to some idiot ruling the land.
