An excellent show. It shows the reality in Pakistan, no matter what people say. A MUST see for everyone here, its been airing a lot on CNN. Just caught it a couple of days back.

Shows the truth, the stark reality in Pakistan about extremism, taliban, al qaeda et all.

The show shows how almost every global terrorist attack has a Pakistani link.

I think BBC also has something similar, though i dont remember well.

.
i watched it, phenomenal, problems are far far grave than the people at the forum project

.
They are, the 'enlightened moderation' part of the Pakistani population is in a minority it seems.

We dont have to take the jewish conspiracy ****!!! No thank you, we are educated and aware enough to know where the real story is. If the capital of Pakistan has witnessed what it has in the past one week, and the number of pakistani's over here supporting a shitbag gazi...I dont need the jewish media to tell me what is going i can make it out myself.

As a Pakistani, I am extremely worried about the threat of extremism. Somehow Zia era followed by his protege Nawaz Sharif; who used to go to Zia tomb every year and vow to continue his policies has created a schism in the Pakistan polity.

I heard an interview of a burqa clad lady- Asia bibi on Geo TV, speaking about her young daughter who was with Um Hassaan, wife of the Maulvi Abul Aziz. I was flabgergasted at what this women said.

She said without mincing words " after a few days Musharraf will run away abroad and America will make a house of gold for him as a reward".

Good God!!. Is this the kind of cod's wallop that illiterate populace; which forms majority of Pakistani public; think of this action. This views is reinforced by the Mullahs. A very learned Islamic Scholar, Dr Israr Ahmad, blamed every thing on Musharraf saying that reason why Musharraf waited so long was his evil design to find an opportune time that he could prove to the West that Musharraf was indispensible for them. He also reiterated that there can be no doubt about the piety of the two brothers and that their demands for Sharia law in Pakistan were justified. As if all the actions of these thugs including open rebellion and gun running were okay.

Mullahs are always the worst bigots but even respectable people and ruling party leaders such as Ijazul Haq and Chaudhry Shuajat were in favour of letting these people go free ?? What is happening to Pakistan society ???. Have we forgotten what is right or wrong. How can we possibly forgive out and out rebellion ?? When people defiantly fire on security and go free implies that there is no 'State'.

Only politicians that approved this actions were Altaf Hussein and Benazir. It appears that no one in Pakistan gives a damn that these extremists had amassed sufficient weapons inside a holy place and inside the capital to take on the army and were trying to impose their views on joe public thru force of arms. On the other hand all the 'Kafan chores' are gathering in London and making a noise about democracy. Were these two thugs elected??

In their hate of Musharraf, Pakistanis are willing to go to any length to forgive treason. Hon Lahore Paa Jee, in his effort to justify killing of the Commando Col points out the possibility of friendly fire. Mr dear compatriot; even if it was friendly fire; not uncommon in close fight. This would not have happened if Rashid Ghazi- enemy of Pakistan, would have surrendered peacfully. How can you be so callous that in your heart you fail to condemn out and out defiance of the writ of the state. Thes are the same kind of people who placed a bomb under a bridge on the road to the estate ( Jati Umraa) of your beloved Nawaz Sharif. The loss of life is indeed very sad, however, most of the students were not that innocent. The same burqa clad women said that even if her was shaheed itwas okay. Madrassa teaching seems to have brain washed the youth who are willing to even blow themselves up. Thus the loss of the students life, even though shameful was regrettably unavoidable.

It is a very sad day when educated people have lost their reason, they would twist any thing as long as they can blame Musharraf. FIR against thes gun running brothers was removed at the insistence of Ijaz ul Haq. If any one is to blame, it is the son of the bigot Zia.

" Huay tum dost jis kay, Dushman uska asmaan kuon ho"

I mean that that if Pakistanis themselves care so little for the rule of the law and the writ of the State; who needs India or Israel to break up Pakistan.:hitwall:

The thing is that the show focusses itself in the NWFP frontier which is still living in the primitve era and fails to capture the mood and sentiments of middle class.

I can make a similar movie if i got to maoist inflicted area and show India is facing the same trouble too.The only objective of that show was to show NWFP issues and it did that. reading it as a reflection of Pakistan's current situation is not right.

The women Asia Bibi and her daughter who refused to leave, Asma Mazhar, are not from the frontier but from Punjab. The two Mullah brothers were not Pashtoons either. Hot bed of sectarianism is southern Punjab and the infamous Riaz Basra was from the Sargodha area ( where I lived most of my youth). The extremism in Pakistan is no longer limited to NWFP.

Besides, more Pasthoons live and work in Karachi than in Peshawar. Thus it is wrong to say that extremism is limited to the North. Only the MMA leadership; Maulana Fazlur Rahman and JI leader Qazi Hussein Ahmad are from NWFP. Maulana Maudoodi the founder of JI was born in Aurangabd ( India) and the next Amir - one who decided to support Zia ul Haq regime, Mian Tufail Ahmad was from Punjab.

There is a huge differnece, Nic Robertson goes to NWFP to speak about OBL, about how extremism has spread through out Pakistan.

This is very true indeed and sad. Pakistanies now have no believe in thier government or even in themselves. But the government has solved the issue and that is a great news. But what the ques arries in mind is that why did the government delaed the issue? It could had been resolved very early and secondly how did this much of ammunition got into the captial. I believe where the government did a good job, it also has failed to manage the crisis. As for the western media its all bullshit why coz the moment the government of pakistan did an aggrement with the tribal leaders they started their propoganda against us and thats not something new. The nato genernal in command in afghanistan had visted pakistan and always praised pakistans role in the war of terror. We lost 1000 soilders for god sake give them a little respect not being pakistanies but soilders who fought and died for their cause.

The root cause of terrorism in Pakistan lies in Afghanistan.
Timming of CNN report and sudden surge in terrorist activities suggest that this programme was controlled by the very same elements who are centrally controlling the terror activities in Pakistan.
All terrorists seems to have a professional source of intelligence and I don't believe that these mullahs are running an organisation equivalent to RAW.
Another key aspect which CNN report overlooked was the import of weapons is from Afghanistan. No warlord in Afghanistan has any interest to send its weapons and soldiers to Pakistan than who is this third party who has gains and can afford and organise such a massive compaign?

I always wondered why Hamid Karzai was against the barrocation of porrous border areas.

Six bombers enter Punjab
The Post Report

LAHORE: Six suicide bombers have entered Punjab after crossing the Afghanistan border, the Home Department sources have confided to The Post on Friday.

According to the sources, out of these six suicide bombers three have been given the task of carrying out attacks in Rawalpindi, two in the provincial capital while one has been asked to hit some targets in Multan.

The Punjab Government, after receiving the information, has beefed up security around all the hotels, bus stands and shopping malls and markets. Police have stepped up vigil at all the important entry and exit points of these three cities and started searching suspicious vehicles. The policemen in plain clothes and the personnel of other law enforcement agencies will be deployed at all the important installations across the province on Saturday, the sources disclosed.
Terrorism is clearly jacked up since one month and so called mullahs and childrens are most vulnerable to fall victim to this conspiracy.
