Pakistan suspends all commercial flights, India closes 9 airports

. .
nope, it cost much more to indian airlines than pakistan

pakistan should put a perpetual ban on indian airlines

true, all of our cities are connected via motor way and fast railway..to furthest cities are just 22 hours away
Actually, India was the benefactor because diverted flights refueled at Mumbai and Kochi. And most Indian airlines already avoid Pak unless it is absolutely necessary.

And the crash of the Indian stock Market after Pakistani Jets penetrated Indian Airspace is worth 10 Rafales.
Pakistan's stocks fell more. And our economy is stable enough that a small decrease in the stock market will not have any negative effects.

India's stocks always drop around elections anyway, then increase.

chotay log, chotay dil aur choti kushiyya aur chutiyya qom= Describes Indians really well.

. .
I think it is safe to estimate that this past week the closure of Pakistan's airspace has cost it as much as ten F- 16 fighters.
so you guys have won ?
you lost only 2 jets, 1 heli, a little ijjat, dream of becoming a supa power and
we lost
10 f16 worth money ?

Its like if someone punches you, and breaks your jaw then you come up with the logic that you won because you made him waste his energy while punching you.

Only the border regions, and that too for less than a day. India actually benefited from the closure of Pak airspace because diverted airliners stopped in Mumbai for refueling.
Well, we won't target any civilian jet, that for sure as we are trying to deescalate and trying to avoid any aggressive move, giving the indian airlines to fly without any danger,
whereas on the other side, story is completely different, you guys are looking for a vulnerable target to show your public that you killed something other then a crow.

When did I say we won? and yes we did poorly in the air, but the situation on the loc is much different with your side suffering heavy casualties, both military and civilian. Whereas the Indian Army has not suffered any casualties yet on the loc. Think about that when you claim a military victory.

And yes you cannot deny the economic damage done to Pakistan over the past two weeks. That is what this thread is about.

Has India obtained alien shielding technology? Or did Pakistan run out of ammo? Because that's the only two scenarios that would have prevented casualties on the Indian side during this conflict.

In the grand scheme of things, the cancellation of a few flights is peanuts. And lets not forget that airports in western India were also closed for a few days.

In return for a little financial loss - all Pakistanis united as a nation, the morale of the people and armed forces was boosted, and the JF17 received unprecedented advertisement. We also managed to embarass the hell out of our enemy. So not a bad trade off.

There have been no confirmed Indian casualties on the LOC fortunately. Not even the ISPR is claiming any.

Yes this skirmish was a big morale booster for Pakistan, and it exposed problems with India's air force. Pakistan can definitely claim victory there.

Although airports in western India were only closed for a few hours, and there are only a few major airports near Pakistan, whereas most of Paksitan's important airports are close to the border(Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad). Even right now, some airports are still closed and others only partially open.

India was actually the big winner in the airspace closures because diverted flights stopped in Mumbai and Koch to refuel.

It's the LOC!!! Its impossible for there not to have been casualties on both side. But neither side will accept this right now. Look at all the soldiers (on both sides) who are injured or killed in minor skirmishes, then look at the videos that came out last week. Just think reasonably - how can there be no casualties on both sides?

Major airports were closed for a few days but open and fully functional now. Other smaller airports like Multan or Sialkot probably received like 1 flight on average a day. It's a loss yes, but nothing significant.

Diverted flights from Pakistan? Or international flights? This I wasnt aware of and you might be right.

Flights between SE ASia to Europe and the Middle East to Asia. Emirates for example diverted all their flights to Asia through Mumbai.

Oh and as for the LOC, it looks like it was India that caught Pakistan by surprise. India brought in mm 155 guns, which seemed to catch Pakistan off guard and cause a lot of damage on the Pakistani side. It also looks like India prepared by reinforcing its bunkers, which may be why it suffered significantly fewer military and civilian casualties. Keep in mind that it is very hard for the Indian Army to hide causualties on the loc do to the prevalence of mainstream media and local social media sources

As of now planes are not allowed to fly towards India but those landing in Pakistan are doing so.
Modi's madness is causing air India and many Indian airlines huge losses daily

Meanwhile, not a single Indian soldier has been killed in LOC firing. Make of that what you want.
