Pakistan & Sri Lanka collaborate against drug trafficking
The government of Pakistan has approved in principle to initiate negotiations with Sri Lanka on the draft Agreement on Cooperation against illicit trafficking in Narcotics Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Chemical Precursors between the two countries, Pakistani media reports.
The Draft Regulations would provide legal cover to actions against the terrorists. It was observed that it was of paramount importance for the State to curb terrorist activities and bring the terrorists to justice. The Federal Cabinet, which met here with Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani in the chair, accorded the approval after examining and deliberating in detail the Draft Regulations.
