Pakistan speeding up work on its fourth N-reactor at Khushab

Figure 1. Wide area view of the Khushab nuclear complex showing the new security perimeters around all three major sites in the complex and a comparison between the reactor 2 and 3 facility and the reactor 4 facility.

Figure 2. Close up of fourth Khushab reactor showing progress on the construction of the reactor building. Nearby buildings share some similarites with the buildings at the reactor 2 and 3 complex while some portions appear to be part of a new layout.

Figure 3. Close up of earlier construction on the fourth Khushab reactor from April 20, 2011.

Figure 4. Close up of the completed reactors 2 and 3. There is no visible steam coming from the cooling units. Steam would be an indication of the reactor operating but its absence does not mean that they are not operational. The heat dissipation may not be creating steam due to atmospheric conditions.

I don't see how that matters. The Pakistanis here already call us what they want to call us and not what we want to be called.

I wasn't aware that " Bharati " was such a offensive word for your lot now ! Haven't seen calling you " Indoo " ever !

Good Pakis keep building Nuke plants and Bombs.

Off the topic but just to teach the indians here so they know that they are basically insulting them selves.
The word "****" goes back to the 1950s when Asian immigrants were arriving in the UK and many found themselves unwelcome and the target for racist abuse and attacks. The word was used to describe anyone from that part of the world even though it was often applied to Indians, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, etc, none of whom had anything to do with Pakistan at all obviously. "****' however was a quick and easy-to-remember word used to label them all with. Its use was encouraged by the conservative tableoid media at the time to whip up an anti-foreigner frenzy and nearly always had a negative and derogatory, racist meaning associated to it. Many British people realise that now and so have stopped using the word at all because they understand at this stage how insulting it is to Asians. Some unfortunately have still not learnt this lesson yet.
Hope the indians will keep this in mind and not insult the whole subcontinent countries including him/her self.

Now this is very good news.
we need to speed the work on our economy also.and kick out the TTP which is the main reason why we are not as strong as we should be economically...But INSHALLAH days are not far when Pakistan will stand tall again..

God bless Pakistan..:pakistan:

thats and offensive word mate . edit your post or you will receive an infraction.

any idea how long it takes to build reactors? or just how complex it is and how time consuming? or the fact most of the machinery will have to be brought from abroad.
if you did you wouldn't be making such silly statements.
It don't take more than two years to make a normal size reactor by normal speed....If we were fast then we would have easily constructed the reactor within a year . But Alas! We are vey slow taking more than 2 yearz......:smokin:

if we can build these reactors with such speed
then why cant we construct a Pressurized water reactor by ourselves

One word: Metallurgy.

Making the pressure vessel is beyond Pakistan's capabilities at the moment.

Stick to the topic please.

The Pakistani budget and electric power generation reactors are not the topic of discussion here.

HOW IT IS POSSIBLE ???

Why not do some resreach

Okay, how does one get enough HSLA Steel and the resources to manufacture the pressure vessel from research?

he is an admin himself :D so i dont think someone deleted his post....

That may not be true any longer, but I am not sure.

Besides, owner(s) are above even admin. ;)
====================

Back to the topic:

Can Pakistan manufacture even small pressure vessels such as steam boilers currently, that meet the strict standards required?
