Not surprising at all. SL is one of the proxies Indians use to acquire stuff that they don't want to publicly buy themselves. And then they re-engineer the heck out of it and share the spoils with the proxy. Pakistan knows this well by now so I doubt if they will sell such advanced technology

Pakistan will never sell the Avionics versions, codes and frequencies it uses within its own JFT's. There is a reason why every country comes up with an "export" version :enjoy:. Which is usually a downgraded version and takes out massive chunks of proprietary components and software codes, etc

Sri Lanka has not forgotten how India played a double game with them and Tamil tigers. Poor attempt to show how good the relations are, outwardly they maybe.

It will be a huge error of judgement on the part of the Indian establishment if they think any Sri Lankan government would ever put bilateral relations with India above their strongest ally Pakistan

Why is India so desperate to get their hands on a Junk Fighter when they have the Majestic tejas?:o::azn:

You really can't comprehend why? A close first hand look at your enemies's fighter jets gives your several advantages. Why else would the US/Israel comb thru the Mig 29 with close inspection? To know its strengths and weaknesses. :coffee::no:

Yea its a mistake to think Pakistan is their strongest ally..what a joke.

It is and always have been.. The joke is on you if you think otherwise.. It's easy to get fooled with outwardly show of camaraderie.. Sri Lankan foreign policy will always have a good eye open when it comes to India.. Bitter experience throughout history makes it so

Yea sure...whatever you say. I can't make this -ish up...

No you can't.. Because you have no grounds to stand on.. Sri Lanka will play the pacifying game for strategic reasons but India will never replace it's steadfast allies.. For obvious reasons.. Now you can be on denial but facts matter more than assumptions

Pax Indica: Indian elephant in Lankan room

Do you expect SL to hand over a Fighter like that and even if we did its useless considering they will be using different communication systems and different IFF systems. It will only give India info on Sri lankan airforce not Pakistan.
Sri lanka will mostly likely buy a variant that suits our needs that will be very different from Pakistani versions

Let them by anything they want from any country they want we shouldn't interfere its their right ,most likely these plane will end up in various military exercise with India

Both HAL Tejas and JF-17 has appeared in enough events for Pakistan and India to analyze each others aircraft. Excerises won't make a difference.
India will have to rip apart the Jf-17 if they want to get any valuable info and becuase SL aircraft will most likely be using diffrent systems making any attempt less useful

A deal will include limits of how much be shown to other countries including India, if the deal is broken Pakistan will stop supplying spare parts and the Jf-17 fleet will be grounded wasting lots of money.
