subsidized Iranian oil and gasoline is much cheaper then prices in pakistan and afghanistan.

untill this fact remains. there will be alot of smugglers making a fortune off this trade.

And Iran is doing what to stop this?

Pakistan doesn't need to be exploited as part of a smuggling racket.

This is piss poor from our own officials who probably know it's going on and take a cut. This will only benefit smugglers and middle men and the Iranians. There is no way this is helping the common Pakistani.

When the government can’t provide cost effective measures then people resort to these sort of activities. If Iranian are willing to sell cheap oil we need to pass a emergency resolution on national security grounds either international community provides cheap oil or we buy.

Iran is doing quite alot actually. it has heavily bordered and patrolled the pakistani border. The pakistani side has been the lax, porous, barely patrolled side.

secondly, Iran is the only one losing here. expensive subsidized petrol (one of the cheapest prices on earth) is being smuggled out of the country. the Iranian government has actually cited this as one major incentive of raising fuel prices for Iranians (to discourage smuggling)

this is defacto theft of Iranian resources, with Iran getting nothing in return.

the pakistani smugglers (and almost certainly big fish in the government, intel, and military) are making a fortune.

the pakistani people are not really harmed by this. in fact, normal market forces would indicate that a new source of Iranian fuel would drive up supplies and bring prices down. if anything it would not raise prices at all... and most certainly is being sold at somewhat of a discount.

Pakistani bad relations with saudia means no oil. It looks like we need oil. Ships don't usually come to a port without any reason. I think our country is in a bad situation financially. Americans want to make sure that Pak suffers that's why they did all this. Sanctions on Iran means oil supply to Pak is illegal.
