Pakistan says 'not looking at military option' over Kashmir dispute--Shah Mehmood Qureshi

I think right now the govt of Pakistan is following all the right steps. The peaceful political struggle will always be more effective than militancy. Once Pakistan is out of current economic turmoil then we can look at that option too. I think Indian govt was also expecting some rash decisions from Pakistan which could have hurt the Kashmir cause internationaly. Pakstan has decided not to make those decisions and its the right thing to do. If we keep it peacefull then current steps of Modi govt will strengthen Kashmir cause many times internationally.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) – Pakistan is not looking at a military option over Kashmir, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Thursday, after neighbouring India revoked its decades-old special constitutional status for the disputed region this week.

However, Pakistan reserves the right to respond to any Indian aggression, Qureshi told a news conference in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.

“We’re not looking at military option,” Qureshi said, adding, “Don’t we reserve a right to respond in case of any aggression?”

Regional leaders have warned of a backlash against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision this week on Jammu and Kashmir, which also split the state into two federal territories to allow the government greater control.

Pakistan's official response should be this:

"All options are on the table."

This is why Indians are not taking us seriously, they have noted that WE no longer have sufficient political will for doing much about IOK.

Now I came to know that "every option" means "all options excluding the military one"

.
This duffer ch***** foreign minister needs to be fired ASAP. This moron was involved in keri luger bill as well which was rejected by Pak Army.
His strings are pulled from Washington. He is a traitor; not surprising since his great grandfather killed and crushed the Muslim rebellions against British and the British later rewarded his family with acres of land.

.
I totally second LeGenD's take on this. It should have been All options are on the table.

I am sure that is the case covertly but overt posturing was definitely required.
We must realize we are not dealing with normal sane human, we are dealing with a Hindu Hitler.

And the world knows how they stopped Hitler eventually

In REALITY, if we WERE in fact considering a military option, we would publicly claim we are not...........:azn:

Au contraire, the will is definitely there, but not the means. Hence the statement.

I see a disconnect between military statement of going to any length to fulfil the obligations made to Kashmiri people, and FO saying that military option is not on the table. He should have left the ambiguity.

There is a sinister narrative I sense creeping our way, through our own segment of libturds, specially in social media, the PML(N) media wing. If the situation is allowed to stay as it is, with no meaningful actions taken to punish India severely, the voices will start raising about the utility of keeping such high number of armed forces and defence expenditures.

People need to understand where this might lead to. That is a narrative which no one will be able to duck or counter.

Alqalmand kay liye ishara kafi hota hai.

PsYOPS is the need of the hour, to give Modi Sarkar nightmares.

WE should learn from Americans - the master of the art of warfare + intimidating others.
