Pakistan rejects India’s claim of cross-border infiltration

Pakistan has rejected India’s charge of infiltration in Kashmir, after its envoy Abdul Basit was summoned and handed over a “strong demarche” over Pakistan’s continued support to cross-border terrorism.

“We strongly reject Indian claim of any cross-LoC infiltration. Pakistan remains committed to the policy of not allowing its territory for any terrorist activity against anyone,” the Foreign Office said in statement last night when asked about India summoning the Pakistani High Commissioner.

It said that it is necessary to establish “veracity of the Indian claim”.

“Details in this regard will be gathered,” it said.

Amid growing strain in ties, India on Tuesday summoned Basit and handed him a “strong demarche” over Pakistan’s continued support to cross-border terrorism by pushing in trained mujahadeen to carry out attacks, particularly in Kashmir.

Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar called Basit to his South Block office and lodged a strong protest over the issue as he made a specific reference to LeT mujahadeen and Pakistani national Bahadur Ali, who was captured recently in North Kashmir during an encounter.

Ali, born in the Zia Bagga village of Lahore, was arrested by Indian authorities in Jammu and Kashmir on July 25 with weapons (AK 47 rifle, live rounds, grenades, grenade launcher etc) as also sophisticated communication equipment and other material of Pakistani/international origin, according to the demarche issued to Basit.

The ties between India and Pakistan have seen growing bitterness after Pakistan and its Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made provocative statements on the Kashmir situation in the wake of killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with the security forces on July 8.

Nothing new, Pakistan had the same line of argument during Kargil too but later admitted to it.

This problem can be divided into four parts

First Pakistan considers the Kashmir as its integral part and there is no swaying from this matter. Pakistan will continue to provide back door support to the Kashmir for its fight for freedom

Secondly India has never truly accepted Pakistan since its creation. No matter what the thought that the creation of Pakistan was false and it will once again become the part of the great India holds great sway in the heart of Indian Policy Makers.

Thirdly the proxy wars in Pakistan are a major factor and India is a key player in Balochistan, Karachi and previously in KPK and FATA. Moreover their continued and prevalent existence of intelligence agency in Afghanistan and Iran have one goal that is to sabotage Pakistan at any level possible. Owing to these factors Pakistan is playing a defensive game and their responses are total retaliatory in nature.

The CPEC project is a lifeline of Pakistan and it can be very well a game changer and provide quite a major boost to Pakistan thus has the ability to change the gameplay of the region. And Pakistan will try to do every thing in its power to stop the sabotage activities carried out against CPEC.

Then who was the key player in Punjab for the Khalistan, and what support does Pakistan is giving to the terrorists of the J&K. P.S Two Sain Hafiz Sayeed, Salaahudeen Roaming in Pakistan, making open rallies and singing song of Peace. On the otherhand what are the evidences did you have to prove that India is the major factor in Balochistan, Karachi and KPK and FATA.

Here is another twist, if India wants to do that, then the supply of few Manpads to the TTP and other fighters, would make the life of the PA miserable.

You are counting to the CPEC no you are counting on the China to Invest and take you out of the web of the Debt, in which you are stuck, but remember in reality every country is of its own and China will only look after its own profits.
First the Road comes from the dangerous mountains of the Karakoram, which cannot guarantee round the year connectivity. Second, the Port, which China is building is actually to stockpile the Chinese goods, and is counting on the India and the middle east to be exported, thus it will be only the Warehouse Port. Another reason, why China needs the port and an Airport to takeout its citizens from the Middle east at the time of the emergency. My fellow Indian PDF members. It is really if they deny any infiltration. Have you forgotten the first Kashmir war when they denied their soldiers involvement infiltrating in JK and then kargil war, when they in same way denied to recognise and take the bodies back of Pakistani soldiers. It is a small issue for them.

Agreed it is indeed a fair point for India to question Pakistan if they do not take in 200 million Indian Muslims. We also want P0k and gb. Cpec is built in Azad Kashmir and fb. We will try to stop it but may not succeed. The Indian activity in Pak is only to counter Pak sponsored terror. So Pak cannot claim that as a reason but can only say it's a reaction by India.
