I agree, Adnan Sami Khan's publicly expressed views and attitudes about Pakistan are silly and vindictive - he should absolutely apologize for his behavior before expecting the country to do yet another task for him.

He is nonetheless entitled to his views and to express them. As a citizen, he has the right to ask for the certificate and to deny him that legal right is silly and vindictive, not what he says as a citizen.

I mean I agree with @Syed.Ali.Haider in that if all legal requirements are met, Pakistan should breathe a sigh of relief and give Phitay Moon Khan the documentation he needs, but at the same time I also have a right to voice my opinion that he should apologize for his behavior.

He can probably show their refusal to Indian authorities and then file an affidavit saying he has renounced Pakistani nationality and that could be enough. Not like GoI cares about what Pakistani rules are (which btw makes sense only if you are a dual nationality holder, how do you renounce your Pakistani citizenship before you have another ?)

Asylum route is the most usual one where a country turns hostile to it's citizen and thus may refuse to grant him release. Not sure of it's aplicablity in this situation.

I find the whole thing a hilarious farce with no significant ramifications whatsoever.
