Pakistan refuse to tone down Wagah ceremony

Another proof that Pak officers never care about their soldiers. These kind of activities lead to many spinal problems to the soldiers performing them which may ruin their life. That is why India decided to tone it down apart from using a special surface so protect it's soldiers from injury.

But Pak officers decided to continue it as they don't care about the life of their soldiers. All they care about is the pompous and ostentatious ceremony which breeds hatred.

Why blame officers when there are people supporting this mad monkey dance.:undecided:

Pakistan refuse to tone down Wagah ceremony

LAHORE: Pakistan on Thursday rejected India’s request to tone down the flag-lowering ceremony at Wagah Border.

According to a media hand-out, Director-General of Punjab Rangers Major-General Muhammad Yaqoob Ali Khan has said the parade will continue in the traditional aggressive style. He said that a hand shake between the two sides’ rangers will continue.
Earlier last month, on the request of the Indian Border Security Force, Punjab Rangers had decided to discontinue the aggressive marching approach during the flag march ceremony at the Wagah Border.
Director-General of Punjab Rangers Major-General Muhammad Yaqoob Ali Khan and Director-General of India’s BSF Raman Shrivastav had also decided to take steps to free prisoners. They agreed to urge their respective governments to release fishermen held by both sides after minimum detention and paperwork.

they're getting tired lol

Nobody is undermining anything ! We are merely hinting that the decision taken was right, if India want's to tone it down, then by all means but we think it is something unique to us and it should continue, it's tradition !

Awesome news. In my honest opinion, such military one-upmanship displays would be appropriate among equals.

Not the case here, I'm afraid......never mind the nukes.

Much rather have a healthy, strong soldier- rather than one who can put up a good show at the border but can't fight due to a knee injury.

People will support lynching a thief. But would a sane society allow that to happen. People like aggression until one of their own is at risk.

What's all this about knee injuries ? Soldiers are not girls, if this not what they are going through, the usual stuff like assault courses, war games and stuff would screw their knees anyway.

soldiers are ofcourse not girls..but they are human beings...they are trained to survive tough situations and not create injurious situation for themselves, which rules out their involvemnet in main occasion for which they have been trained...just to please a packed audience.

This isnt a healthy practice...glad that BSF has realised it.

Then why the Armed forces day parade ? A nuclear missile, commandoes, helis, tanks, planes and other stuff are not entertainment.

Exactly! There's a difference between military parade and needless and jingoistic chest thumping and this Wagah ceremony is the latter.

Like I said, compared to the everyday life of soldiers, this is child's play. Hardly risk of any injury here.

I fail to understand the difference between the two, it's a display of force in both cases, in one respect it's numbers and equipment in the other, it's the men themselves.
