Pakistan Protests India's Move to 'Raise Wall' on LoC

Yet another Pakistani fanboy demonstrating that his knowledge of military is limited to what can be learnt by playing Command and Conquer. :D
who are u man..?? some military man or professional analyst ? or a C & C fan.. i really want to know..

NEW YORK: Pakistan has strongly protested against the reported move of India to raise a wall on the Line of Control (LoC) between the two nations.

Protesting against India’s move, reported Dunya News, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi on Thursday filed two correspondences in the UN, expressing severe reservations over India raising a wall on the LoC — a temporary ceasefire line along Jammu and Kashmir.

The wall is likely to be at least 197-km-long, 10-meter-high and 135-foot-wide.

Reiterating her country’s stance, Lodhi made it clear that “the only acceptable solution of the Kashmir conflict to Pakistan is through the UN resolutions and a plebiscite by Kashmiris”.

Quoting the UN resolutions, she said, “No party can alter the current territorial position and despite the resolution barring the move, India is going ahead with the plan to build a massive and illegal wall.”

Lodhi reportedly told Dunya News that tension in the region has risen in the past few months, while India has violated the ceasefire in multiple events of heavy firing.

She said United Nations’ Security Council president has been informed in writing on the violations from the Indian side.

India Says Pakistan's Letter to UN 'contradictory'

NEW YORK: Reacting to the allegations made by Pakistan that India was raising a 197-km-long, 10-meter-high and 135-foot-wide wall on the Line of Control (LoC), Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup said that India was aware of the two letters written by Pakistan to the United Nations.

The first letter was written on September 4, which states that there was no bilateral dialogue. After that the BSF and Pak Rangers have already met. So the letter has itself contradicted itself that there is no dialogue as there has been a dialogue,” said Swarup in response to a question by ANI's Smita Prakash.

He added, “As far as the second letter is concerned, I believe, it is based on some kind of submission made by Mr. Salahuddin, whom we consider to be a global terrorist. We will respond at appropriate time."

He said there was no fresh letter from Pakistan to the UN.

On a question that Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be raising the issue in his address to the UN, Swarup said, “The first thing is, has any action been taken by the United Nations? If there is an action taken by the UN, we will respond appropriately, and if no action is taken by the UN, it itself tells that nobody has taken the cognisance.

Pakistan is quite busy in other issues. Only ME is doing work in Kashmir, and most people thinks that Kashmir should be given to KSA for time being as ME will liberate Kashmir easily.

UN is the forum where adults talk, not that you would know anything about it.
Yeah but tell that to your prime ministers from Bhutto to Sharif who always go n cry there kashmir kashmir india india bachao bachao... No one would fight your wars but you, stop crying in front of everyone and taking pride we internationalize kashmir issue n blah blah, people laugh at you saying here he goes again. India is very much happy with status quo if you have a problem with that go on and attack us why wait for someone to fight for you? Just a few days back when India demolished a Chinese construction you people were dancing like little girls that China would teach India a lesson, what happened, why dont you try to teach us. All you can do is blabber here we'll do this we'll do that.

Kasmiris not Indian citizens they belongs to disputed teritory. Have u seen any where else in the world to put 7 lakh troops posted in their own country against their own citizens.

Last heard, even Hurriyat leader Geelani was begging for an Indian passport.

And where in the world 7 lakh troops are posted?

durand line is internationally accepted border...even in UN...while LOC is disputed area on international level...declared by UN

either accept Bill clinton's solution of making LOC international border and both sides keep what it has already and make no fuss
or include J&K and P O K and then let India have it whole
anything else will never work out
so all the hue and cry will lead to finally only one of the 2 solution i mentioned

walls is a very smart move.. inflitration would be difficult and so K card will be useless then for Pak...
Maa sadqe jawe..putar de....
Jo solution jnab ne paish kia he us hisab se to J&K r baki kashmir b Pak ko hand over kr do..to masla hal ho jata he...!!!
Bhai india ki itni auqaat hoti na k Azak Kashmir le sake..to kb ka le chuka hota...
aik to ap Indians kb apne ap ko koi super human item samjhna band kro ge.....
Allah Hidayat de apko!!!

Doesn't make any difference. If India wants to build a wall, it will.
Pakistan will respond to this..n that wall is not gonna build !!!

With India almost in Security council,Pakistan's case wont get any stronger, only weaker from now onwards. That's why i am guessing the military brass is looking at other options now.
That's one hell of an optimism there!!

Best thing about 1965 is they celebrate Lahore defence victory after attacking India...

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

This wall would be accompanied by 8 meter deep ditch ob both sides. If you try to tunnel under it, that tunnel would collapse or get flooded due to hitting water table.

I am hearing this again and again, but no one has as of yet clarified as to what Pakistan could do or would do in response.

I mean you are nowhere near conventional power to India thus you cannot force India to stop constructing this wall ,along with its accompanying ditches; you have no diplomatic clout thus other countries would respond with rolleyes to your protests; your Nuke threat would not work as this wall is being constructed on Indian side, and stopping it would require an offensive.

Some posters have thrown in Artillery. That idea is insane. Indian Artillery has range of 50 Km; It would shut down 1/3rd of Pakistan, when it opens up in response to Pakistani shelling, while Pakistani shelling would have only a marginal effect on India. Also this is not a concrete wall being raise which would be damaged by Artillery;this is a 35 foot wide embankment being raised, and would be constructed from material excavated out from two eight meter wide ditched running parallel to it. Artillery would not cause much damage to it.
The Indian super human concept is always amusing...your idea that Indian artillary can hit Pakistan n not the other way round..is just amazing:o::o::cheesy:
Like Indai got some star wars weapons....and pakistan will fire arrows n throw stones...!!!!:p::p::p:
Seriously man...grow up...just for once...!!!!

Doesn't make any difference. If India wants to build a wall, it will.
How masooom are u...!!!!:smitten::smitten::smitten:
