Pakistan Protests India's Move to 'Raise Wall' on LoC

No problem at all. I don't know much about the wall & whether it is being constructed (some of the figures quoted are weird - 135 foot wide?) but no one will seriously care for any Pakistani objection if they decide to build the wall.
But why are they protesting if we are building it on our side?

.
i dont think its a bad thing at all,
i mean there have been many projects in Azad kashmir cuz of CPEC which india also protested cuz of the same reason.

the reality is both sides can do as much construction there and I dont think any party can stop it.
plus this also will end the excuse of indians that whine about any Pakistani trying to enter India.

. . . .
But why are they protesting if we are building it on our side?

They are saying that we are building it in the area that we consider IB & they, the working boundary - the area connecting J&K to Pakistani Punjab. Supposedly they received a letter from Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin to that effect which they have now forwarded in the U.N. along with their complaint. The legitimacy of the claim is very much in doubt (as is their extraordinary reliance on a terrorist's word) but the Pakistanis are arguing that India is doing this on disputed territory (they can build a road to China on disputed territory but India should not build a wall goes their argument ) The real reason is that any wall, if one is built, will hamper them from "helping" in the Kashmir struggle.

It is a DOUBLE wall ; running in parallel ; 135 feet apart like the Israeli barrier
with sensors placed

If one wall is scaled then the intruder can be caught before he scales the other wall

Are you quoting from any source....? Would like any link if there is one.

Not from any source ; but you cannot make a solid wall of 135 feet

Secondly the Israeli barrier is well known and it is a model solution

There can be watch towers in the space between the Two walls

That is why we must wait for confirmation. Right now, we only have the Pakistani word about this.

I think something is happening on the LOC

That is why the Pakistani government is complaining

In Some Stretches of the LOC a wall is necessary

It will not be a continuos wall but in those areas where the Fence gets washed away
and snowed down every year and the Fence has to be put up again

They are not saying it is on LoC, they are saying it is on the IB/WB between J&K & Pakistani Punjab.

Even better ; Since it is a plain surface it will be made quickly

This 197 Km stretch is more vulnerable to infiltration and with rivers and thick
vegetation it has become the preferred place for entry for several Fidayeen attacks recently

What terrorist Syed Salahuddin said,

Srinagar, Publish Date: Sep 3 2015 6:03PM | Updated Date: Sep 3 2015 6:03PM

Militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Thursday alleged that in a bid to strengthen its control over Kashmir, India is busy in constructing an embankment (high wall) along Line of Control.

“In order to turn Kashmir into a prison, India is busy in constructing a great wall on using Israeli made concertina wires and it is the collective responsibility of both Pakistani and Kashmiri leadership to foil the designs of India,” said Hizb spokesperson Salim Hashmi while quoting United Jihad Council Chief Commander Syed Salahuddin.

He added that it will have serious ramifications" if India is not stopped in its designs".

In a statement to CNS, Salahuddin while addressing Hizb Command Council said that “they have inputs that India has been constructing a great wall all around Kashmir and on experimental basis India has completed its work on a one kilometer stretch a bit inside the point of Ceasefire Line.”

Salahuddin said: “Unfortunately, India was allowed to construct the wall during Musharaf regime in Pakistan and it had a negative impact over the Kashmir Freedom Movement. Now the plan on which India is working needs to be resisted otherwise Kashmir will take the shape of Gaza Strip.”

“I appeal to the civil and armed leadership of Pakistan to make the Indian plot unsuccessful. Pakistan’s silence over the issue will be taken as a support to the Indian plot and it will have serious consequences for the freedom struggle in Kashmir,” Salahuddin said.

While reacting over the ‘limited war’ statement made by Indian Army Chief Dalbir Singh, UJC Chief said that the war can never be limited. “If India resorts to war, the freedom fighters in Kashmir will effectively play their role,” he said.

“During the meeting, rich tributes were paid to Reyaz Ahmed Mir who was killed during an encounter at Ladoora Rafiabad in Baramulla district.” (CNS)

India constructing ‘great wall’ along LoC: Hizb

When Pakistan filed complaint

"I believe the second letter (dated September 9) is based on some kind of submission made by Salahuddin, who is a person that we consider to be a global terrorist. At the appropriate time we will respond to this," Swarup said.
