The latest episode between the two warring neighbours.
For over the last two years, the Indian establishment, hand in glove with it's armed forces has been desperately trying to convince it's public that India carried out a surgical strike against Pakistan, to lend weight to it's claims, every few months, the Indians come up with a new story. The latest being that Indian soldiers smeared themselves with Leopard urine to scare off the guard Dogs in Pakistani villages as the Indians went about their so called mission. Earlier after much deliberation, some video footage of the assault was released, however, in their enthusiasm, the Indians failed to realise that the so called surgical strike was claimed to have been carried out from dark until wee hours of the morning, where as the video footage was clearly shot in broad daylight to convince the unsuspecting audience. Furthermore after sheepishly bypassing the first year, the Indian authorities suddenly decided to celebrate the second anniversary of the strikes. Moving away from this, since both armies are often engaged in exchange of fire across the LOC, it's also become habitual to make claims and counter claims, with Pakistan usually giving the lines that it had targeted Indian positions, causing casualties to the enemy and damage to their infrastructure. However the Indians always seem to be precise with their claims, whatever the technology they may have acquired, the Indians are always keen to give a breakdown of their claims thus impressing how many Pakistani soldiers they killed, how many they wounded and even the number of bunkers busted, posts destroyed or trees uprooted. Every effort is made to send oblivious Indian public into a frenzy. Why doesn't Pakistan Army makes such claims, is it because such tall claims serve no purpose except to fool your own public. If in any doubt, take this week for example, in four consecutive days, four Indian soldiers were killed by Pakistani fire on LOC but not once did Pakistan Army made any claims or noise about it and had the Indian Army made these kills, the Indian media and public would have gone into a frenzy fully backed by the Indiann Army.....i guess this is the difference between being professional and incompetent.
