Bad Idea Pakistan needs to move beyond F-16s. Pakistan is not being the latest versions and there are other aircraft out there capable of ouperforming the current F-16s Pakistan has. Any chance they might go for Su-35, or maybe even Rafale now that it's out of the MMRCA. If there is going to be an F-16 it needs to be either equivalent of what UAE has got or the F-16IN. Otherwise Pakistan needs to move on and take on the Russian offer.

How about getting back to the Rafale avionics in Jf-17 deal the Airframe of the F-16 and Jf-17 are not too different in terms of performance.

but rafael is far too expensive and out of the question, FC-20 is the wisest option

^^^ other than range [nullified via air-refuellers , anyway] what other additional plus points do these fighters bring to the table which j10b doesnt have -- if the radar dome size [space to house radar] of jf17 is greater than m2k/mig29/f16/rafael etc -- , i reckon aesa radar space in j10b would not be that less as compared to the su-series

We don't need F16 We needed capability to serial produce fighter planes and we have that ability with JF17 thunder now , and its avionics will get upgraded versions in 2 years time , these odd 30-50 F16 will be sufficient for temporary usage , the real work horse of our airforce is JF17 thudner with AESA and j10b ...
