GENEVA (Staff Report) – In the list of ten countries with with the biggest nuclear arsenals, Pakistan stands at number six, where as India stands at number seven.

Switzerland based organisation International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) published the names of ten countries listed according to the the number of nuclear arsenal they possess.

While Russia and United States topped the list with 7,500 and 7,200 nuclear weapons respectively, Pakistan came sixth with 100-120 and India came seventh with 90-110 arsenals.

ICAN is a global campaign coalition working to mobilize people in all countries to inspire, persuade and pressure their governments to initiate and support negotiations for a treaty banning nuclear weapons.

this list I am seeing from last 2 years , in last two years haven't anything changed? Moreover no of New weapons is nothing , only the yield matter

eg
10 TNW's = 2 Nuclear warhead
10 appears no in number but 2 can wipe out cities.

Well Pakistan should take the number to 500 at least. We also need to develop ICBMs.

This all speculations.

Nukes are classified information and there is no way an outside agency would get the number.

India has the fissile material for putting together thousands of nukes. I read the figure of 4000 years back.

We just don't need that many. There is no reason to spend that kind of resources. This is no stupid cold war.

These are useless, speculative reports.

Hi,

They asses it from the availability of the raw material that you can process with your resources----and they are very very close---maybe conservative at times.

India has much larger uranium, thorium and other nuke material reserves and uses more uranium and other nuke material than Pakistan does and given that India has a civil nuclear deal that Pakistan doesn't have, the amount of nuke material available with India must be much higher than Pakistan's, then how come Pakistan has more nuclear bombs.

I am confused about all these international campaigns working for abolishing nuclear nukes and putting up pressure only on those countries having low no of arsenals while super powers hold so much no of arsenals that other countries arsenals are like a drop in bucket and if war or dispute rises the end will be in favour of these super powers
So why not these campaigns put pressure on these super powers to reduce their arsenals rather than stopping or atleast these campaigns should allow less numbered arsenals countries to make over their arsenal to the no that these super power holds
that just a thought :undecided:

Is this something to be proud of? This is nothing but a dick measuring contest of zero consequence as these weapons will never be used due to geostrategic compulsions and mutually assured destruction that the adversaries are well aware of.

It would have been far better and more relevant to instead have a competition in economic growth, eradicating poverty and improving the lives of the common man. But then some of our Pakistani friends out here are obsessed with war and destruction and whose nuclear dick is bigger than the other.

They are trying to compensate for the reality all around them. Let me just stop here.
