What's new

Pakistan Orders More AW139s.

Don't loose hope, devil rise for ultimate fall..Just look at the most popular leader Nawaz Sharief...he rose to the limit and now he is worthless character ..he is no more...

And yes people like you need to worry , even after fall mindset of majority will take time to change.
Have a nice day.

I don't know you understand Urdu or not but this is for you.

Pe-wasta reh shajar se umeed e bahar rakh...

Daali jo toot gyi mumkin nahien hari ho sahabey bahar se...

So true! Bahut saare daali toot gaye, aur kabhi hari nahin hogi.

You can see what is going on, all around. Pray for us.

And that is why I am saying in first sentence...Pay-vasta reh means be united, stay together and wait for good time and don't loose hope.
Guide youngster what is the truth and I believe like in Pakistan younger ones are not that rabid (don't count PDF Indian members) I really believe in real world they are not that rabid or bakhts....Ignore key board warriors and Asher us by your good knowledgeable posts.

For criticism, there is Punjabi saying jiss ghar mien beri (fruit tree) ho gha uss ghar mien hi pathar (stones) ayen gey.
I am changed little bit since yesterday after watching this video...now I believe not all Indian are bakhts.

90% of us are not! But on the Internet we are a minority.

It is these bastard Internet Hindus who are responsible for the bad reputation that we have.

They are all quiet now. 42 retired officers have written to Modi asking him to take responsibility for this culture of rape and murder, as his words have set off these incidents. Civil society is enraged. My people in Bangalore marched with other citizens protesting these communal and otherwise politically protected murders.

But the situation is still not normal.

Yesterday, all the accused in the Mecca Masjid bombing were let off, and the judge delivered his judgement, and immediately resigned. Even a child can see that the charges were deliberately weakened so that the judge would have nothing to do to let the accused go free.

There is a long way to go.

Very well said. Yeh sach Hindu hai. Woh kutte nahin. It is good to see a Brahmin standing up and saying what we all feel. Sometimes it seemed that they were mindlessly following a formula and never thinking of what they said or did.

I am not an authority for this.
I am just simple user like you and others only Mods can take action...

Some time someone had bad day, bad mood so we should leave that single incident, since Mr. Joe is a nice person and I learn many things from him.

The replacement was overdue. The Alouettes were wonderful for their day and age, but, as you correctly pointed out, they didn't have the performance needed.

In a better ordered world, you would have been able to buy Dhruv helicopters, which have an extraordinary high ceiling, perhaps with some slight modification that would make them turn 180 degrees, if approaching Siachen (for which they were designed, and where they were tested), or a line of beacons parallel to the LOC in Kargil or Kashmir. They would have been ideal for your western boundaries.

Oh, but that was the point. Someone wanted me kicked out. I could think of no one better, who would enjoy the job more. "Death smiles at you all the time. All you can do is smile back!"

You think we will buy this junk Dhruv out of whole world which even Ecuador has rejected and asked India to return their money back.
Just look at the exellent performance record of this helicopter
Incidents and accidents[edit]
  • In November 2005, a Dhruv crash-landed in Andhra Pradesh, causing the entire fleet to be grounded; the subsequent probe found a fault with the helicopter's tail rotor blades, which has since been corrected.[23][24]
  • On 2 February 2007, during rehearsals prior to Aero India, a HAL Dhruv of the Sarang helicopter display team of the Indian Air Force crashed, killing co-pilot Squadron Leader Priye Sharma and injuring the pilot Wing Commander Vikas Jetley.[125] After being in a coma for almost four years, Vikas Jetley died in January 2011.[126] The helicopter team continued to perform in the air show.[127]
  • In October 2009, an Ecuadorian Air Force Dhruv flew into the ground near Quito while attempting formation flight with two other helicopters. The remaining six aircraft were grounded during the investigation, which later concluded pilot error to be the cause.[128]
  • In February 2010, an Indian Air Force Dhruv was forced to make a crash landing after suffering a loss of power while rehearsing for the "Vayu Shakti" air show; both pilots survived.[23]
  • On 14 December 2010, a Dhruv crashed in Jammu injuring all 9 personnel on board.[129]
  • On 22 December 2010, a Dhruv crashed in Leh injuring both pilots.[129]
  • On 21 April 2011, four army personnel were killed when a Dhruv crashed in north Sikkim. Initial reports pointed to weather as the cause, but a court of inquiry was established to ascertain the exact cause.[130]
  • On 19 October 2011, an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) Dhruv (VT-BSH) crashed in north-east India, resulting in the deaths of the three crew on board.[131] The cause of the crash was found to be pilot error due to spatial disorientation.[132]
  • On 15 January 2012, a BSF Dhruv (VT-BSN) crashed on the runway at Raipur airport during a test flight; there were no deaths but all five of the crew on board were injured.[133]Investigation by DGCA has concluded that the crash was caused by pilot error.[134] Inadequacies in training of flight crew had been identified.
  • On 5 April 2012, a Dhruv was heavily damaged by Maoists who fired upon the helicopter [135]
  • On 13 May 2013, a Dhruv crashed in Siachen injuring the pilot and co-pilot [136]
  • On 19 December 2013, a Dhruv armed with weapons made an emergency landing in Karnataka.[137]
  • On 22 February 2014, an Ecuadorian Air Force Dhruv often used as a presidential transport crashed in the Chimborazo region. The pilot Captain Fabian Pazos Narvaez survived, but three military officials were killed. The incident is under investigation.[138][139]
  • On 25 July 2014, an Indian Air Force Dhruv crashed near Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, India. All seven on board were killed. It had been tracked from the ATC of a Delhi air force station until contact with the aircraft was suddenly lost. A mayday call from the pilots appeared to highlight a mechanical failure as the cause. The IAF ordered a court of inquiry to establish the cause of the crash.[140]
  • On 13 January 2015, an Ecuadorian Air Force Dhruv crashed injuring 2 crew members [141]
  • On 28 January 2015, an Ecuadorian Air Force Dhruv crashed injuring 4 crew members [141]
  • On 11 February 2015, an Indian Army Dhruv crashed in Jammu&Kashmir, killing 2 crew members.[142]
  • On 4 July 2017 and Indian Air Force Dhruv crashed in Arunachal Prasesh killing all 4 crew members onboard [143]
  • On 5 September 2017 several Indian Army (IA) personnel, including two generals, survived with only minor injuries from the crash in India’s Himalayan region of Ladakh.[14

You think we will buy this siht ?
"HAL has secured an order from the Ecuadorian Air Force (EAF) for seven Dhruvs, amidst strong competition from Elbit, Eurocopter and Kazan. HAL's offer of US$50.7 million was about 32 percent lower than the second lowest bid from Elbit.[79] 5 helicopters were delivered in February 2009, during Aero India 2009.[80] Both the Ecuadorian Army and Ecuadorian Navy have since expressed interest in the Dhruvs.[81]The Dhruv has been involved in search and rescue, transport, and MEDIVAC missions in the north of the country.[82]

Following the crash of one of the Dhruvs in October 2009, Ecuador reportedly considered returning their six helicopters to HAL amid claims of being unfit for service;[83] EAF commander Genl. Rodrigo Bohorquez stated "If it is a major problem that can't be easily remedied, we would have to return [the Dhruv]." HAL assisted the crash investigation, which found the cause to be pilot error.[84] In February 2011, the EAF were reported to be satisfied with the Dhruv's performance and was considering further orders.[85] By October 2015, a total of four Ecuadorian Dhruvs had crashed reportedly due to mechanical equipment and Ecuador grounded the type.[86] In October 2015 Ecuador cancelled the contract and withdrew the surviving helicopters from service, non-delivery of parts and high accident rate were cited.[87] In 2016, the Ecuadorian Minister of Defence Ricardo Patiño announced that the remainder of the HAL Dhruv helicopters of the Ecuadorian Air Force, which are stored at the Guayaquil Air Base are for sale and that the Air Force is looking for potential buyers"

.
That was intended in a lighter spirit; I didn't expect this ill-tempered, ill-mannered, cut-and-paste response. If you can't participate in a discussion without venting your spleen, go and kick your dog.

Don't buy the Dhruv; but when you comment, try to remember that 18 have crashed, over 12 years, 3 due to pilot error, 2 in Siachen and Sikkim white-out conditions and 1 due to hostile fire; that leaves 12 in 12 years. Out of 230+ flying. You can work out what it amounts to, in percentage terms. That's for a helicopter designed and built in India. And that also accounts for a policy decision by the Home Ministry and other non-military buyers to entrust maintenance to Pawan Hans, known for its sloppy work practices.

18 crashes in 12 years, out of which 3 were pilot error, 2 were Siachen and Sikkim high altitude white-outs, and 1 was brought down by firing? Ultimately 12 crashes in the entire fleet in 12 years?

Modi has been selected by a majority Hindu vote, how can i be convinced most of the Hindus are innocent?

Don't; he probably doesn't need your vote, and I certainly don't need to convince you. There are other, senior members who have a different opinion; that is good enough.

You think we will buy this siht ?

No, I don't think you will buy this. Instead you will buy whatever shit you can afford to buy - and that's not very much, so congratulations on getting four (4) excellent choppers.

Following the crash of one of the Dhruvs in October 2009, Ecuador reportedly considered returning their six helicopters to HAL amid claims of being unfit for service;[83] EAF commander Genl. If you know anything about the matter - very doubtful - this specific one and operating helicopters in general, you will recognise that spares were not bought along with the choppers, and when parts were needed, delivery was expected overnight. When these were not available, they kept flying the choppers, without the benefit of either preventive maintenance or fault repairs, and four crashes occurred.
