Pakistan Opposes Unilateral U.S. Missile Strikes in Tribal Area

As I added in another thread on the same topic President Bush is going to be confronted in a few days by Gilani regarding this very issue. The new government is placing tremendous pressure on the US to stop all this.

I for one highyl doubt the Gilani is in any position to confront Bush. These tactics have been in placed well before the new government and similar condemnation was done by the previous government as well and this one is no different either. Nothing will happen, it may temporarily stop but whenever US finds a high value target inside pakistan, they will attack.

Look Guys I believe Pakistan Has Three Primary Challenges

1. Maintain Peace around the territory near Durand Line.
2. Carry On its Missile and Nuclear Programe. (Thus maintaining the minimum deterance)
3. Maintain a birds eye watch along the Indian Border. And continue the cease fire.


now first objective can be achieved by two methods
1. Hunting down all taliban insurjents near duerandline Which requires
1.1 A mechanized Divitional effort
1.2 Alot of Funds.
1.3 Alot of Bloodshed.
This is the way US wants us to follow. But the bad thing about this option is " WE ARE NOT CERTIN THAT EITHER WE WILL ACHIEVE THE GOAL OR NOT "

2 . Sighn a peace treaty with the Talibans.
But for this we will have to confront the US.

2nd Objective is a bit complex. To achieve we need :

2.1 Forighn cooperation .
2.2 Funds
2.3 Import of Excess Raw Materials
2.4 And ofcourse the Unkle Sam's will . that is whatever we do about the missiles or nukes We need Unkle Sam to support it rather than laying sanctions on it .

The third objective which i included has its own significance because in the recent past some of the Indian Diplomatic Actions have shown that they are in a mood to have some kind of confrontation with Pakistan. Serious Concerns still exist between Both Sides.

This is not the time to confront US.
But InshaALLAH Time will come when eventually we will roll the Dice .
