I guess muslims are increasing in India at a faster rate than any other country, you can see any muslim family they have 4 to 5 kids each.

We want to see India as a brotherly Muslim country. I suggest they increase to 10 kids.

Let them remain mired in poverty and illiteracy. Already they are the poorest group in India having more kids than they can get afford and get educated.

What difference would it make to the lives of Pakistanis if Indian Muslims remain caught in the cycle of destitution.

How is it trashing if I am talking from stats - studies commissioned by the Govt of India. Right now the most poor and uneducated religious group in India are the Muslims. Unless we accept the problem and reality, we can never change it.

What does this have anything to do at all with Secularism?
A state promotes good health and governance for its citizenry. Understanding that having many kids is a cause of poverty and perpetuates the cycle of inequality is basic job of any government. That is why Government runs its family planning programmes throughout India - so that people have safe sex, better understanding of the consequences of having kids.

Yes, I do need to worry. It is my country, they are my countrymen. We cannot become a prosperous and healthy nation if a large number of us remain chronically poor and uneducated.
Indian Muslims have only recently started getting on the education bandwagon. It will take 2 decades for the results to bear fruit. Meanwhile everything must be done to ensure that the poor children get education and not have to work. This starts when poor families stop having more kids that they or the State can afford.

Sadly, while Pakistanis have been conditioned to think that having 100 kids is a good thing to soothe their ummah fantasies, without ever understanding the zero quality of life they condemn this population to, we on the other hand suffer no such fallacies.

There is something called social responcibility,for ever sign up in US universities of Indian muslims there are 100's who dont have basic schooling.
Anyone can have 10 or 20 kids as long as one can provide for all of them,i have seen cases in the west where muslims have move kids with out a proper job ,just to get more child benifits and they feel proud for increasing the numbers but for the rest of the world its nothing short of begging.
