Pakistan needs to Accelerate Development of newer Blocks of JF-17 Thunder

If it was better then why China is acquiring 24 SU-35 planes.

Hi,

The reason being that china has a tremendous shortage of front line air superiority aircraft---it is woefully ill-equipped.

SCS crisis finds china between a rock and a hard spot---. If it could buy a 100 eurofighters today---it would---.

That is why you see such a massive investment in fighter aircraft.

When Pakistan talks of improving JF 17, they talks of electrons most of the time and weapon some time.

what about improving the platform , weight reduction, more powerful engine , high maneuverability etc. I have not heard any discussion on any of this area. Does pakistan has any plan to do this?

What weight reduction?
It is already lighter than Tejas and Gripen. its weight with fuel is 9100 kgs, Tejas is at 9800 kg and gripen at 11400 kg. First work on reducing weight of your star fighter still in making for last 30 years.

Manoeuvrability? when did Tejas started flying consistently rather than moved on trailer?

This is a contractual obligation in return for development of L&S turbines inside china. Good businessman.

They don't exactly have a "woeful" shortage:

~300 J-10A (comparable to F-16 Block 40 or 52)
~109 J-10B/C (comparable to the Eurofighter or Rafale-M)
~320+ J-11B (comparable to the F-15C)
~28 J-16 (comparable to the F-15SG)
~20 J-15 (comparable to the F-15E)

... which adds up to roughly 780 modern "front-line" platforms, far more than any of her immediate neighbors. The Su-35SK likely were purchased to supplement a temporary shortfall in J-11D/J-16 production, or perhaps as a stop-gap until the J-11D enter service in large numbers.

Hi friend you think mastan Khan is not giving much weight to the neighbours
The main adversary is mighty for them relatively its short strength at the moment
And if you consider area of land and other peripheral around china needs at least 1200 front line 4++ fighters which they will in near future
That's the reason they didn't phase out their older generation jets yet from their inventory

This should be a continual effort. Weight reduction gives many advantages. We are planing some 700 kg weight reduction in tejas.
