Pakistan Navy successfully test Anti-Ship Guided Missile

Sometimes upgrade packages are not worth it. Also, you have to have live fire drills to make sure all systems and protocols are working properly.

Any idea, when S-20 production will start in Pakistan. As it was said that production will start simultaneously in both Countries. (Sorry for being off topic)

PNS ALAMGIR.

I believe very seriously that our existing f22p can be updated to inherit VLS with medium range missiles. Remove FM90 turret and its lower part from the ship there is easily room for atleast 12 - 16 VLS Launchers.

a ship designed without VLS face a lot more difficulty in fitting VLS because all the sub systems, propulsion systems oiler room n short whole ship xcpet hull has to be changed to accomodate VLS systems so i think even if pak navy goes with fitting vls systems its not gonna provide 12 vls.
PAN should look for any 2nd hand ship with existing vls systems get it cheaply and odify it heavily that seems a better option on similar cost ;)

4 additional ships are on order and the next version of the F-22P is expected to be larger and with VLS. PN has identified several improvements including beefed up anti air and VLS missile capability.

Hi,

Thank you---and that is the most important and critical point----.
Maybe the C802, maybe not, but I have heard from a course mate, that some anti-ship missiles are using a new tactic to sneak up on ships, from the stern side. Reason being, in some cases this is the blind spot of the CIWS system.

Hio,

It is a darned good anti ship missile & it is available to pakistan with no strings attached.
According to Haris Khan on the Pakistan Military Consortium (aka PakDef), the Zarb is actually the TL-7, which is the export variant of the KD-88 (a cousin of sorts of the C-802). The specs lined up by @Windjammer also match with the TL-7/KD-88. But the most interesting part of this whole issue is that we gave it a local name, which is something we usually do for a locally produced munition (licensed or otherwise). Doesn't mean we are, but given that we kept the C-802 and SD-10 as-is, it's interesting to see us loco-naming TL-7.

Another note, TL-7 uses an IIR seeker, as opposed to ARH on the C-802. It's apparent that there's an emphasis (in TL-7/Zarb) to get past DRFM-based ECM.
