We are a Muslim majority nation hence, no question arises as such in first place. Secondly, India used to claim to have Muslim president and then we all see the result as well that details are all over the history.

What else they do have at their disposal at the moment. Since a nice hammering in UNGA; they are merely looking at something to satisfy their bruised egos. Sometimes, these sources actually helps to expose them for their below the belt tactics. Not to forget that bill was forwarded by a PPPP member and then we need to connect dots further in view of threats on the cost of breaking Pakistan and what not just so that political parties does not like each other. These political fist fights between all the parties, are done on the basis to create a huge turmoil within the country & spread unrest to push towards internal conflicts.

I have not affiliation with anyone and I have been saying this for long that, people shouldn't ignore the fact as how Syria, Iraq or Libya are invaded. Everyone needs to go the root cause that sparked conflict. . . . the design is to weaken a nation from within, provoke them on petty issues, bring always something to discuss which has no scope, highlight non issues & create panic with continuous propaganda while using media so that people may start to feel helpless/abandoned or doomed hence, civil unrest followed by wider clash leading to destabilization of country. These are some basic tactics but just because we are so blinded due to political differences, sectarian bigotry, religious differences or radicalized few; even the so-called literate or educated lot is becoming part of such warfare.

Because christians/hindus think this law make them in to 2nd class citizens. And the fact that Pakistan muslims don't consider them equal Pakistanis.

Firstly, this state was not created to satisfy emotions of Kufaar. This state was created for Muslims, and for the implementation of Shariah. The constitution of Islamic republic of Pakistan states in it's preamble that:

"Whereas sovereignty over the entire Universe belongs to Almighty Allah alone, and the authority to be exercised by the people of Pakistan within the limits prescribed by Him is a sacred trust"

People are not considered sovereign in this constitution and they can not form laws which are repugnant to Quran and Sunnah. Quran clearly mentions the duties of a ruler:

(These men of truth) are those who, if We establish their rule in the earth, will establish (systems of) Prayer, (organize and control) the paying of Zakat, enjoin righteousness and forbid (people from) evil. And the result of all the endeavours is in the control of Allah. Al Hajj 41

Obviously, a Hindu, Sikh, Christian can not perform these duties which are required from a ruler, according to Quran. Therefore, they can not rule an Islamic state.

The constitution of Islamic republic of Pakistan further states that:

"Wherein the principles of democracy, freedom, equality, tolerance and social justice, as enunciated by Islam, shall be fully observed"

"Wherein the Muslims shall be enabled to order their lives in the individual and collective spheres in accordance with the teachings and requirements of Islam as set out in the Holy Quran and Sunnah"


Secondly, the Non Muslims are citizens of Pakistan. Their basic human rights should be protected and are protected under the constitution. They should be allowed to practice their religious duties. However, the Shariah doesn't give them the right of legislation. Their fundamental rights will be protected but they will not be allowed to impose their values on Muslims.

Naveed Aamir Jeeva, a lawmaker and a Christian belonging to the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) introduced the bill in the National Assembly, The News International reported.


However, the bill was blocked by the National Assembly, with majority voice on Tuesday.

The lawmaker proposed an amendment to Article 41 and Article 91 of the Constitution to allow non-Muslims to become Prime Minister and President of Pakistan.

In Pakistan, only a Muslim can be elevated to the posts of President and Prime Minister.

According to Article 91 of the Pakistani Constitution, the National Assembly is empowered to elect one of its Muslim members to be the Prime Minister. Similarly, Article 41 of the country’s Constitution says that a person shall not be qualified for election as President unless he is a Muslim.

Pakistan PM has times and again said that the minorities in his country are enjoying complete freedom, security, and their rights are being protected.

The only way for Pakistanis to get talking about Taboos and certain laws is the improve the economic and more political stability, also mass education of the next generation we are not ready for mass social changes people change only when they see the country and economy stable

While I agree with what you are saying, the mullah biradri will be up in arms if any government revokes it. Inn aqal se paidal mullah ko kaun samjhaye ke humari aqliyaatian siruf paanch feesad hain abadi ke, woh apna PM kaisay muntaqhib kar saktay hain.
