I know one is short range and one is long range and also other differences but what I know is we are looking for both I mean short range and long range and we were interested in Aster 30 but as we are also looking for one short range one that is why I said it could be starstreak I don't see the chance of the of third product from thales.Bro that's two extreme ends of the equation. It's going to depend on exactly who - i.e. Army, Air Force, or Navy - is talking to Thales.
While not perfect, Pakistan's overland air defence coverage is steadily taking shape thanks to the HQ-16, which could potentially even be scaled up to the HQ-16B for high-medium/low-long-range coverage.
On the other hand, there's no modern air defence system in place at sea, which (in the absence of constant fighter coverage) puts our submarines at risk of Indian Poseidon MPAs monitoring (and possibly even attacking) from above.
The Thales SMART-S Mk2 and MBDA CAMM would be mightily helpful at sea. Granted, the CAMM and Aster-30 aren't Thales products, but Thales is a lead contractor of sorts too when given the task to construct an air defence system (i.e. it'd hand jobs out to MBDA or Raytheon, depending on your selection).
Nope I think for rapid fire we would get Turkish ones. I mean theseInteresting development however remains to be seen what we will get , Rapid fire seemed like a lovely idea
Nice addition

we need a system that could be mass produced and thus adopted by airforce, navy and army something at scale of 70-90kmBro that's two extreme ends of the equation. It's going to depend on exactly who - i.e. Army, Air Force, or Navy - is talking to Thales.

New Recruit
AD system could refer to AD radar systems, CIWS or V-SHORADS. However, there were rumours that Pakistan was interested in ThalesRaytheonSystems’ GM200.

?????Dont think France would do such a thing, the government will clearly block such a deal.
Because our enemy will wet there pants and then all Pakistan will drown...lol?????
Why?
Clearly u dont know the french, they are regarded by the yanks as rats of europe who leak sensitive tech, lol, they will sell anything if the money is right, dont forget, pakistans initial nuclear knowhow came from france...Dont think France would do such a thing, the government will clearly block such a deal.
