Pakistan launches two satellites using Chinese rocket

I doubt anything they claim as indegeneous.
Pakistani defense philosophy has no wasteful use of national competition or pride involved in it.
To quote a very senior R&D lead
"We only try to make it at home if we cannot procure it or have someone make it for us".
No program is pursued at home for "pride" unless it is a critical resource, no program is done from scratch if plans that can give a ten year boost to knowledge are available.

Compared to billions poured in neighboring countries for the same capability, I'd say it has payed off with 1/20th of that investment.

After all, coming to refueling.. why waste resources on figuring out plumbing when you folks are ready and willing to sell it at a fraction of the risk and cost it would take for us to do it?

At the end of the day, Papers , indigenous development are irrelevant.. only the number of Indians that can be killed per minute is..and right now that is in the nice tens of millions.

‘Pakistan to send astronauts into space in two years’

The article that this text refers to is from December 2017.

I hope that Pakistan's SUPARCO can collaborate with India's ISRO, China's CNSA, Russia's Roscosmos and other Asian and African countries on a common manned Mars mssion in the next five to seven years.

In June, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mohammad Faisal said the PakTES-1A was an indigenously developed remote sensing satellite that weighed 285 kg. He added that the satellite will be launched at 610 km sun-synchronous orbit in July, 2018.

PRSS bought from china and Paktess made by south africa with maybe some Pakistani input.
You can track the satellites from various internet sites after launch but atm the 2 satellites are not being shown as they might not have reached their orbital slots.
Normally the space sites give the altitude and position of the sats when the orbit changes take place , but the Chinese can be pretty tight lipped until success is assured.

Satellites are not injected directly into assigned slots as their are a number of orbit raising procedures to raise and circulize the orbit.
Though these are sun synchronous or it's so I am not sure what the final destination slots are.

Are the satellites Spy satellites or civilian use ( or dual use ? )

Dude, your psych valuation is way overdue

So much unbridled hatred :disagree:
There is nothing in his post that reflects 'hatred' - it's just a cold blooded evaluation of the goals of a military deterrent - acquire capabilities to inflict as much damage as possible.

Congrats but the satellites are made in China. Pakistan just bought them. Just google it. They never touched Pakistani soil. They were launched by China as well. Even paid by China for loan.

True, just basic protocols and a component or two sent from here to tailor it to Pakistani needs. Pretty cheap too versus the cost and risk of an indigenous development.

are you a dumb or pretending to be one because i can clearly see written on the site that Paktes-1a is developed by SUPARCO..

Right. Pakistan needed the satellites. So went for the best option available.

Yes but with technical helps and equipment supplied by China. Read the original deal signed in 2016. But the real useful satellite is PRSS. Its 1200 kg big satellite.

And Comgratulation to Pakistan. But we are not burning because of these satellites as the person said.

Anywa I am interested in space and aircraft. Some more details like resolution etc will be interesting.

Pak Tes1 (test and evaluation satellite) is entirely made by Suparco, no technical help was sought from China for this satellite. Suparco has been working on remote sensing satellites for almost eight years now.

This cannot be true or else the satellite is total failure.
PS: I think it's artistic rendering by some retard - PakTES-1A's solar panels cannot be viewed from its telescope.
