...and we have been seeing many Pakistani posters cribbing about the poor situation of women in India... Classic case of pot calling kettle black!!!

Since we shared a country once, we still have that same old common problems too... domestic violence, women's rights, child abuse and what not... don't tell me it's not happening in India.

The only place on earth, worst for women is india.

Yeah may be true .... for thousands of bangladeshi women working here as a maid (mostly thieves at end) , cheap construction workers, red light sex workers, stripping & bargirls.

As far as Indian women are concerned, India is not the best place in world but still better than our west & east neighbours.

I am sure the Unicef report for India is no better. Actually, all of South Asia with the exception of perhaps the North-eastern states of India have a stone age mentality. Of course there are liberal pockets in Bombay or Bangalore but these are the exceptions rather than the rule. All of South Asia treats its women shabbily.

last time i checked india per capita income was higher than land of pure.and indian women are more literate(65%) than whole land of pure litteracy rate(56%).

When did I say that there is no problem in India? I just said what UNICEF think. They think that Pakistan is a worst place for women which BTW is the topic of the thread.

Women is respectful not matter where she lives. Women gives birth to a man.Due to lack of knowledge some people they do not treat the women as well as she deserves.

Excactly. Its the problem of India and many South Asian countries too. Hope we come up with the solution of this in the near future.
