Pakistan, IMF to start bailout talks today

So even after 2 trips to saudia and china there is still a need for IMF package ?
Then whats he point of these trips, should had gone to IMF first only. Better to negotiate with one and talk to one rather than spilling it everywhere.

Your obsession with Pakistan whilst having an extreme bias will make you dumb, I swear.

  • Attract foreign investment; platforms provided in both countries in form of pavilions and stage to speak.
  • Multiple MoU's signed which focus on the social aspect, can be the much needed catalyst for self development.
  • Talks regarding trade, and attainment of a financial package from Saudi Arabia.
These countries have helped Pakistan a lot of the times in the past although it's not their responsibility, they're countries; not relief funds. It is high time that we pull ourselves out of this mess on our own, going to the IMF for loan for an economic bailout is more appropriate than going to a friend.

Just apply a little real-life analogy, involving friends.

Because an IMF stamp helps you dealing with other western multilateral organizations. Even if Pakistan doesn't require even $1 from IMF, it will still go for it.

Stop being a fool. The money received from allied nations sends a message to IMF and the rest. It puts Pakistan in a much stronger position at the negotiating table. Now whether we should get any IMF loans is another debate, but if the government opts for this route for whatever reason it has a much stronger case. Also the IMF loan will probably be much smaller due to help from friendly nations.

Saudis are not putting that oil refinery in Gwadar. It does not make them any money. Nor does it solve any of Pakistan's problems.
