Actually, the dichotomy is scramjet vs hypersonic glide vehicle. The glide vehicle doesn't have an engine.

If something like Glide Breaker is so super secret, then it will be a long time before India gets its hands on it. And even if it does, the mere collision of two hypersonic bodies will create such a debris cloud, it will be lethal on its own accord. If the incoming missile creates a fuel air or thermobaric mixture, then the counter punch will create even bigger problems. It is a lose-lose proposition when viewed as a fundamental physical problem.
HGV can be Scramjet-driven and conventional.

Of-course, the defenses which I pointed out are not in Indian hands - and will not be anytime soon (hopefully). Also, defenses are just a part of the equation. Offense, in itself, is important.

India wants to embroil Pakistan in a costly arms race, to the extent that Pakistan bankrupt itself and fall apart from within. You see - S400 systems have not reached India yet but we are already nervous.

Those hypersonic QBMs are export gimmicks. They have to eventually come down after belly dancing phase, to strike at the target, and this is the stage when they will be taken out.

We definitely need J-31 and EA-18G Growler types.
Not really, the money spent on nukes and related stuff is a tiny fraction of what we spend on the entire military. Indigenous (post-2000) R&D and local production helps keeping the costs down. Adding new capabilities won't cause anything to break apart from within.

We have had a long and unfruitful discussion on decoys, so lets leave it at that.

In the current situation Pakistan has brain atleast more than Saudis but lacks money and Saudis have money but lack technology so they should provide us money and have partnership in arms and weapons building programs..
we can manufacture and deliver to them at low costs as they had supported the program by money

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but The Special Plans Division Should work on Decoys and Penetration Aids, if they haven't done so already. It will make a big difference. It is one of the reasons BMD Programs can not guarantee success in engagements.

The program to study would be the Polaris/Chevaline A3TK Missile: One Warhead and a Decoy Launcher on the Bus carried on the final stage.

There is also the Three warhead model, Its diameter and Length are close enough to the Ababeel missile and should be studied to replace the Ababeel for the top end long range missile (at the reduced range of the 2750 km politically imposed). It can also form the basis for the future SLBM of the Pakistan Navy.

Diminishing returns for its cost...given the close proximity of India and Pakistan. Even the best BMDs in the world don't have a 100% success rate...all India would need to do is MIRV their ballistic missiles. The close proximity of the missile(from launch to target site) meaning less reaction time...along with multiple warheads(and decoys) would reduce the effectiveness of the BMD to such an extent that it wouldn't be worth the amount of money spent on it...especially for a country like Pakistan with limited resources.
