Pakistan 'global leader' in visa, passport forgery: British envoy

That's a pretty poor statement for a diplomat, I'm surprised this hasn't been condemned, no action from the media or the FO.

Nitin and Windy, kindly refrain from making this another dick measuring contest.

. .
you are still the global leader....given that you are among the highest asylum seekers in the world.

It doesnt make sense when a single person stand and speak out his personal thoughts.

As far as I know seeking asylum is not crime or against laws, dont know what you learn from your education system which seems crap. Stop trolling.

Apply your moral standards to everyone, not just a select few.

Anyways, let's see what happens to the libel lawsuit. I'm pretty sure there's no way "The Sun" is going to be able to pay the amount we claimed as damages. And the British diplomat should have been more careful with his words. His language suggests an overt bias or a possible shock about the decision to file a case in the UK.

No big surpirise, he was just speaking the truth. It's common fact that when it comes to forged documents and paperwork, Pakistani's rule the roost.

That's not exclusive to Pakistan itself, but Pakistani's living here in the UK have disgraced us plenty of times with stories of fraud and illegal activities. They're known (along with Nigerians) to be masters at the dark art.

And when our own Parliamentarians forge their own degrees, conduct land scams via forged paperwork, and everything else we read on a daily basis, then we shouldn't be surprised when high-ranking diplomats make such embarrassing claims.

Look what the High Commissioner is saying:

"About 4,000 people were caught last year while trying to acquire British passports using fake documents"

That is from the horses mouth, why should we be upset with these comments?

I also read this year that student visas for Pakistani's in the UK will be tightened as 40% of the info they gave were lies. And everyone knows (although common amongst Indians as well), that entering as 'students' is a way in to the UK to work.

As much as we might want to bury this bad news, it's true. Nothing new here people, move on.

LONDON: Reacting to Pakistan's decision to take legal action against 'The Sun', the British newspaper has said that it would stick to its claims about a Pakistani scam involving issuance of visas for London Olympics in exchange for one million rupees ($10,000).

The newspaper maintained it was in possession of solid evidence to support the claims it made in its investigative report published recently and that it would face the lawsuit if filed against it by Pakistan.

It said there was a threat of terrorists entering the UK, so the newspaper decided to carry the said report in the citizens' interest.

Pakistan's Federal Cabinet that met here today with Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the chair decided to take legal action against British newspaper ‘The Sun’.

"The cabinet ordered the NADRA (the National Database Registration Authority) to file a defamation suit (against the paper) after consulting the law ministry," the Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.

The Sun tabloid said it had busted a racket involving a politician in Lahore that could have given access to the London Games as part of the Pakistani contingent in return for one million rupees ($10,000).

The Sun said its undercover reporter was offered the chance to go to the Olympics posing as an official member of the Pakistani contingent on a two-month visa.

Pakistan's Olympic chef de mission Aqil Shah also dismissed the Sun's claims earlier this week.

Pakistan's 39-strong delegation -- minus Shah -- is already in London and consists of 23 athletes and 16 officials.

Worst all criminals and terrorist from other countries get Pakistani passport. Abu Jundal latest example. Then GOP also fights in other countries to prove they are Pakistani citizen.

Heard Pakistan had national identify system, then how come an adult become your citizen without suspicion? I guess ...

LAHORE: The main accused in the Olympic visa scandal, Abid Chaudhry, came out of hiding after his brother’s death on Saturday.

Talking to media representatives, Chaudhry alleged the scandal had badly impacted the health of his elder brother Arif Chaudhry, who passed had away after a heart attack.

He said his family had been in constant agony since the start of the scandal.

“The tension even took my brother’s life,” he said, pleading the government and judiciary for justice.

Chaudhry’s name came to the fore when a British tabloid, The Sun, claimed to have unearthed a ‘UK visa scam’.

He had gone into hiding after a joint investigation team of FIA and NADRA launched a crackdown.

Earlier on Saturday, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik had reportedly directed authorities to investigate the matter and present a report on it without arresting Chaudhry.

in the west.. pakistanis call themselves indians

Only in your dreams kid, we are proud to be PAKISTANIS. Never will we say we are indians when we are Pakistanis.

^^To the idiot ALOK31 trying to highlight poverty of Pakistanis in western countries, you got ***** slapped in this thread:

http://www.defence.pk/forums/curren...ation-laws-spark-pakistan-wedding-boom-2.html

Your bullsh1t with your stats was clearly refuted but you couldn't reply to it, my answer was as follows:

You bhartis always need a point drilling into your stupid heads, did you not read where i said Pakistanis are big into TAX AVOIDANCE AND EVASION hence true realities are not reflected.

These stats go of what is stated on forms etc. Hypothetically speaking if i earn £50k does that make me rich/well off= Yes
Now if i declare to the taxman & dwp i earn £10000 does that make me poor= yes. With declaring it £10k i can claim benefits.

True reality i am minted, statistically i'm poor. Illegal but go figure numpty.

Now those bhartis who will try to get on the high horse about pakistanis being into illegal stuff. Those on dwp stats probably are not 100% correct. why? how do they know how much of the population is of what ethnicity last census before your stats was 2001 a lots changed since 2001. they are deducing these stats from a small sample of claimants thus not reflecting reality again. Not every pakistani claims benefits etc. No one gives 2 sh1ts what you think so jog on to the bharti section.

These people are bringing bad name to Pakistanis who are living their based on the competence. They are also increasing the paranoia against their own people as locals will suspect whether a Pakistani is a good citizen or a terrorist with fake visa.

GOP should take stringent actions against these forgers if they want to give Foreign Pakistanis a chance to create goodwill for Pakistan and increase the soft power of Pakistan.
