Pakistan condemns Houthi missile fire towards Makkah

Pakistan condemned on Tuesday the firing of two ballistic missiles by Yemeni Houthis towards Makkah which were intercepted by Saudi Arabia.

The Foreign Office hit out at the aggression and commended the Saudi defence forces for intercepting the missiles.

“Islamabad reaffirms its solidarity with Saudi Arabia and reiterates its support against any threat to the security of the Kingdom,” the communique read.

Riyadh had intercepted on Monday the missiles in Makkah fired by the Iran-aligned fighters.

The foiled strike came at a time of heightened tensions between Tehran and Gulf Arab states and a roughly four-year conflict in Yemen largely seen as a proxy war between the two sides.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are leading a Western-backed coalition of Muslim states that intervened in Yemen in 2015 to try to restore the internationally recognised government ousted from power in Sanaa by the Houthis in late 2014.

I am afraid it already went out of control..
But let's wait till the end of this month and see what (vital) decisions will come out from the Arab and GCC summits in Saudi Arabia..Arabs are moderate and patient..but now it seems that the Arab populations all across the Arab world want something done against the Houthis primarily.. and (Iran to some extent)..Turkey too has lost its privileged view/good image, and is being seen by many in the Arab streets as not a very friendly country..

It is provocation..They know their missiles won't be able to hit their targets, so they aim at disturbing peace..or even push Saudi Arabia to start a war with Iran, since it is openly supporting these Khoutti (that is khat_a stimulating drug_ +Houtti).. a wet dream of the IRGC, because KSA & al will only respond to a direct act of war initiated by Iran.. but as far as the US is concerned.. it might not wait much longer with all the built up diplomatic and military support it has already gathered.. for the others, it is still a diplomatic game; "who shoots first is the one to blame"..but using proxies who have not much to lose diplomatically, is a dirty game practiced mainly by Iran and it seems to get away with it..only not in Syria, where Usrael gets back on the Iranians and their proxies there.. it can be seen as a prelude or a small scale to a much bigger scene..if the US decides to act..
