Pakistan fails, Again

I am just appalled at this news.. 32 WITNESSES isn't apparently enough. Pakistani court system is in complete and utter shambles. No wonder the army who killed those terrorists (the one caught in the video) did the right thing.. you just cant put these people in trials..

Judges are definatly threatned here , after all what chance judge have if faced with some kgs of tnt.

2 eye witnesses are more than enough to send some to the gallows

. . .
Whats the fuss!
When Pakistani court system released Mumbai master mind Hafeez Saeed then everyone here said that court should do so because evidence were not enough to prove him guilty. May be this time also evidence were not enough.

.
Thats the reason we kill extra judicial....

Anyway where is the hero of all ....CJ saab....

. .
so who decides which ones of the released suspects should be killed and which ones shouldn't??
They are released and free to go.....

We dont kill suspects...We bring them to courts....

We shoot those who shoot us....

Did you see teh guy released dead yet?

I was just responding to your earlier post where you justified extra judicial killings.

Shooting at someone shooting at you is not extra judicial. Its combat. Extra judicial is killing someone who is unarmed and under your control

The former case has proven to have had little evidence supporting it. In this case, we have 32 witnesses including 2 key witnesses. So don't reach a hasty conclusion.

From what I understand, army is unhappy with how the terrorists are dealt with in the courts. They are acquitted way too many times. Hence that's why army may have been involved in extrajudicial killings.

Always tricky.. Since its extra judicial, there are no control mechanisms in place. So you would never know when a terroist got bumped off and when a common man because he upset an army officer..

We have had our share of this in J&K...Not a situation to be proud of

Sadly not just the Judges but their families as well, I can imagine a tough Judge ignoring threats to himself but it gets scary when they are sent messages telling them we know where your kids go to school.

32 witnesses sir , yes police and agencies are corrupt however terrorism is a common enemy identified by most pakistanis more importantly terrorists have also targeted police and security agencies as well so lets forget about the common man, but dont you think these same corrupt police and agencies will be extra efficient and vigilant when protecting their own lives ? On the other hand the judiciary can be under pressure or threatned as well after all the same enemy is understandbly very powerful and a high or distrcit court judge can be targeted easily

howcome 32 witnesses dared to speak in the court against the alleged culprit if the judge felt threatened. ... I have full faith in our courts now ... we live in post 9 March 2007 era. (I know i am being optimistic but I can never forget that spring...)

identity of witnesses can be protected , it can be piled under piles of paper takes a lot of effort or an insider least (its a lot of hard work), there are also laws to cover that, whereas finding a judge is rather easy as once a sentence is served the names are highlighted in papers ... a judge than is a sitting duck any one can take him out! They are dealing with groups who are wel armed , funded and connected i am sure dont need reminding of high and low profile people and institutions they have targeted!

If Pakistan can't protect judges, how can there be justice in Pakistan?
