Without the US Approval & Source codes, bonded by agreement for the supply of Spares/munitions - Can PAF get the Ozgur-II Upgrade for its F-16s? The question is now more of strategic intent rather than the technical one; as Turkiye starts ÖZGÜR-2 Project for Block-30 / 40 / 50 Vipers.

Hi,

Paf was upset that the army did not take it into confidence---. Army generals decided that shoulder launched sams would do the job---.

Air force would have used other sams to control the Iaf---.

It was all a game heched by one maj gen. Who was the DA at Washington....n after promotion aa maj Gen. Got his first command n the rest is history.....
Things were so fuc£ed up that even mush dident know wt was going on......

Supposedly he had soldiers with shoulder launched sams sitting at mountain tops---was it Gen. Mahmood---?

India airlifted laser guided bombs from israel---and that changed the picture of the mountain tops---.

India airlifted laser guided bombs from israel---and that changed the picture of the mountain tops---.

Actually it were the air burst shells rained down by indian artillery that caused the greatest havoc, damage n casualties.

As India had simply linedup artillery at the bottom of the mountains n was firing with impunity....as their was no response from our side as we were not even willing to accept that they were our troops n instead called them mujhadeen.
This inspite of the fact that we had cut kargil daras road n indian supplies had to be air lifted.....had this been planned properly u could have even taken kashmir.


Having said all the above the performance of indian army was piss poor to say the least as india lost troops in their tens of thousands in their attempt to take back the mountain tops....their tactics were from the dark ages as they would give a peg of rum to each h soldier n then tell them to go n climb up the mountain.....n most of their infantry doing this was not in mountain climbatized.

All in all it was fu€kedup affair all aRound with two idiots trying to invent new ways to out stupidness each other.....wt a waste of men n material

It was a political failure that led to pak military backing out---.

Not even the airchief knew about this misadventure. Just like 1965. How was this a political failure? When the duffers think, plan, and act on their own, then why blame when hits the fan?

The fact that these imbeciles don't own up to 1971 till today is a frightening reality. It's never their fault, always the bloody civilians...

The US is already regretting Ozgur in the first place. You think they'll allow Turkey to upgrade Vipers, and that too for Pakistan.

That poor ba$tard who was pm back then had no idea as to wt was going on.........when the army chief dident know f%#k all u expect that idiot nawaz to know n make a decision.

Some day someone will write a book about it....but then again most of us don't even know half of the story till today as to wt exactly happened in 65/71.....

The "poor bastard" knew everything---.Due to his inherent cowardice---it was convenient for him to deny everything---.

Nawaza chose to look "pathetic & submissive" so as to look good in front of his indian masters---.
