China on Tuesday unveiled its J-20 stealth fighter jet at its biggest air show which will have major implications for India as it is the first indigenously-made fifth-generation Chinese aircraft which Pakistan has shown interest in acquiring.

Export variant of the J-20 in terms of using the same stealth tech and capability. The US aircraft have always been built on better tech, but baselined on good old F-117. Just like that, the J-20 will always be the baseline set of technologies that will be mimicked / followed and advanced by other aircraft in the future from China.

AGAIN, not an export version of J20. They come from different institutes for crying out loud. One may say that J31 is an export oriented plane, also that it may have acquired some technological inputs from he J20 program but stating J31 as an EXPORT VARIANT of another aircraft J20 is not correct.

I wonder what kind of illiterate and illogical journalists India has. They can not differentiate between J-20 and J-31 calling them same aircraft. As a matter of fact these are entirely different aircrafts with different roles.

Joke apart, i heard that some te techs developped for J20 or J31 where incorporated into J10 and Jf17...

So ir could be possible Pakistan eyes J20.... not for buying it but for its techs which could be incorporated into Jf17...

Actually the J31 has also been referred to as "J21 Snowy Owl" so you don't have to deduct 1 for rishwat . Domestic variants of this craft is commonly referred to as J31 while the export version is often referred to as F60. The J20 is most likely not for export. Finally, yes, there will be transfer of tech etc. to the JF17 and J10 as both 5th generation planes head to operational state.

Pakistan's interest in the FC-31 was reported in 2014 when the plane was first shown off at Zhuhai. Not a lot of activity since then (from Pakistan).

Nothing is confirmed or sure for now however PAF have shown interest in J-31 as per reports surfacing in 2014 and again in 2015. What we know today asJ20 wont be available for export anyway.
