The article then rightly points out the importance of raising the underlying productivity to achieve stable growth:

"This leads to an obvious conclusion that any attempt to raise GDP growth rate beyond 4-5pc must come from increasing the productivity of the economy rather than from implementing expansionary fiscal and monetary policies."

Pakistan's economy is not out of the woods yet, but it is fair to say it is headed in the right direction after a long time. How far it travels down this correct path before potential issues crop up remains to be seen.

On lighter note,PTI has done nothing they brought Asad which they fired and hired IMF recommended staff for running matters,same as past Govt were doing.Security came during past Govt,so came the CPEC.Current junta has only done good at diplomacy to an extent that we have been started taken positively.

I not think economy is moving towards growth when world powerful economies are facing recession, we should remain in realistic state of mind.At present there are no signs of growth and optimism as people are not willing to make investment in new startups due to fear of inflation and loss of their investment

Here we go ... didn’t take long for Patwaris to show up and start mourning.

When the patient is critical you only want the person with right skills to operate on him. It doesn’t matter if that doctor is IMF or GoP.... what matters is the result.
Gone are parchi culture and every Tom Dick and Harry becoming foreign minister and finance minister..... we want results and I don’t care who delivers .

Interest rates needs to be reduced to a minimum possible and govt spending/tax collection should be open sourced.

Now is the time for the common man of Pakistan to "do more".

Work harder, work smarter, make more profits, setup new business, create products people want, market these products domestically and internationally, ultimately sell these products and services, especially as exports.

The govt of Pakistan can create conditions to make this simpler, easier, incentivise it, but at the end of the day it's up to people to make and sell products and services.

What it actually says is that there is scope for the economy to now move into a growth phase. It doesn't explicitly say it has. You could have just said that rather than going around the houses.
