Its interesting to see how members of the GCC are pursuing their own foreign policy and not relying on their past synergy . Qatar was the first breakaway (siding Turkey on Egypt and Siria) and now UAE going with India. Either it has to do with their internal conflicts or purely overwhelming economic interests .

They will most likely be more concerned about the Omani Sohar port than Gwadar.. but you are right the latter might add to their worries for after the next decade.. I do not see a real UAE love for India more than some friendship and common interests.. The way the GCC coordinates its moves shows that they want to please India because of the amount of trade between them, and to please Pakistan, the true strategic ally..
