I don't expect this beghairat Imran Khan govt. to do anything I'm just telling what measures Pakistan can take, none is about closing embassy, very unlikely for this beghairat leader Imran Khan who sold KAshmir to Modi, read the bloody post again moron
Who and why are harassing embassy staffs?
Thank you for your answer.Watch your mouth. Clearly Imran Khan and SMQ directed the embassy to be closed since thats literally their jobs, so like I said stop your whining.
Also please enlighten me on how Imran Khan has "sold Kashmir" to modi.
You have to study the historical context really to understand whats happening, but essentially the Afghan govt. has always has been hostile to Pakistan and its existence due to border disputes they had with the British (resolved with the Anglo-Afghan treaty which they refuse to recognise).
At the same time Afghanistan is significantly underedevloped in every single field compared to Pakistan, so all the consulates in Afghanistan are packed with Afghans trying to get visas for a variety of reasons (work, healthcare, education, safety, etc).
So working in such a busy environment on a daily basis embassy staff need to get to the embassy to carry out their work, yet are being stopped, followed, or harassed by NDS and ANP without reason. Since the Pakistan govt cant get any legitimate answers from the Afghan govt and believes they are being delibrately targeted they have decided to close down the embassy.
As for why, they may be trying to slow down embassy operations delibrately, trying to provoke Pakistan into taking offensive action, or maybe its the work of some rogue general/warlord which Afghanistan is overflowing with.
- Embassy said it was closing for an indefinite period.
- Foreign Office has lodged a protest with Afghan chargé d'affaires in Islamabad.
Pakistan has decided to shut down its embassy in Kabul for an indefinite period due to recent incident of harassment of its staff and officers.
The embassy said that it was halting its operations from Monday onwards for an indefinite period due to security reasons, local media reported. "Due to security reasons, Consular Section of the Embassy of Pakistan, Kabul will be closed from tomorrow Monday, 4th November, 2019 until further intimation," the statement by the embassy said.
On Sunday, the Foreign Office summoned Afghan chargé d'affaires in Islamabad to protest the harassment over the past two days of the staff of the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul and its sub-missions.
"The Afghan Cd'A was informed that the officers and staff of the embassy of Pakistan were being harassed over the past two days. They were obstructed on the road and the embassy vehicles were also hit by motorcycles while going towards the embassy," the FO statement read.
The statement continued that the chargé d'affaires was reminded that it is the responsibility of the Government of Afghanistan to ensure safety, security and freedom of movement to all members of the mission. He was also asked to convey to the authorities to 'immediately investigate these security violations and harassment incidents'.
Pakistan also requested the chargé d'affaires that a report in this regard be shared with Pakistan and that measures are taken to guard against the recurrence of such incidents in the future.

But unfortunately we don't have a leadership or govt. to protect Pakistani citizens' honour
Who and why are harassing embassy staffs?
They'll open it again few days after pressure from beghairat pti govt. and traitor Shah Mehmood Qureshi, will get harassed and beaten, and so on. Afghans will mock and insult Pakistanis The cycle will continue just like the last many years.
Border crossings are still open. Just close them and transit trade, close airspace and then see Afghan govt. bending over backwards.
Or just block wheat trade into Afghanistan would help reduce food prices in Pakistan.
But unfortunately we don't have a leadership or govt. to protect Pakistani citizens' honour.
Thank you for your answer.
I must admit I know very little about history of Middle East(Afghanista and Syria etc...)
