Pakistan cautions US about consequences of anti-Taliban offensive

Its time to severely strain their supplies (or increase transit fee), shut down border crossings, and launch more comprehensive monitoring of the border.

They will end up creating their own hell and with the border being made airtight, it would be ridiculous for them to continue their blame game. In the meantime, Pakistan and several other interested parties in the region can work on getting someone in Afghanistan elected that wont just end up becoming an American lapdog.

The Trump administration, however, does not seem much interested in the Pakistani argument, at least for now. But it would if the Taliban outlive the proposed offensive as well.

Pakistan is believed to have told US interlocutors that a major military offensive against the Taliban from both sides of the Afghan border, if ending in failure, will have negative consequences for the entire region.

Action against Afghan Taliban by Pakistan will be like creating civil war in Pakistan.

There are 2 reasons for it.

1. Most Pakistanis see/view Taliban in positive manner.
2. Taliban are only left in Afghanistan which are positive towards Pakistan and today they hold almost 50% of Afghanistan.

I am certain this years spring offensive is going to be a very bloody one.
