Pakistan buys armed drones from China in bulk amid border tensions with India

In-fact, we do need drones against terrorists especially in border areas but having said that; we are more onto our own program. Furthermore, no one should expect Indians acknowledging Pakistan's self reliance and quality of indigenous products. They are still trying hard to not to speak about JF-17 Thunder let alone speaking of our Drone capabilities in near future. Project AZM is the key here and will provide us the future of drone in the region. On other hand, I will in-fact let them live in a dream as such and be misled like this.

Actually I am strongly inclined to think that the MALE UAV under Azm predates the announcement of project Azm, and was grouped into Azm when Azm was envisioned. I think Sohail Aman said this much when Azm was announced. Furthermore, some comments by @Ark_Angel point to this being the case.

Is there any news of new drone Pakistan was developing? one partial picture of that MALE drone once appeared in media and then complete silence. How much progress has been made in that field? Or still, we are relying on China for drones?
