There is no ummah brother involved. It’s pure give and take to which right now Pakistan has little to offer.

People give North Korea as a failed nation but as such their population doesn’t know any better.
The true definition of a failed nation is when the apathy of its peoples reaches a point where they don’t see logic and information in front of them.
Pakistan is a victim of its own ethnic composition and religious thought. Not so much the conflict between ethnicity but more so the loyalties to failed leaders they hold due to archaic concepts of family allegiance.

Right now, it is the Pakistan Military (and nuclear weapons) that is the attraction about Pakistan or its only useful factor. Otherwise there is nothing positive about the country to attract anyone- IK is a change but the underlying mindsets of the rural areas and the burdens of race loyalty and associated corruption and nepotism will always make it a groaning low grade sine wave of social structure.

The only solution is education, even the oiled up Arabs understand that. Sadly, the pigs we have as politicians today lose out.. and their followers happily following them like rats to pied pipers.

We also have the problem of unyielding blind faith. Be it CPEC to even this very thread, there's this sense here that everything will turn out fine, somehow, especially when one's leader of choice is in charge.

No quarter is given to asking about the magnitude of the problem, much less understanding the consequences in the near, medium and long-term.

In a way, it's self-serving.

If we remain oblivious to the problem, then it's easier to love those we want to love rather than making tough decisions, which will involve heavy self-reflection and, in turn, a push to truly change (which means walking away from the thoughts, concepts, beliefs and people we hold dear today).

My friend have I denied your point any where and in no means I am defending KSA here but have you understood what I meant. I already told @Indus Pakistan hat his point was valid but I am moving in different direction and you people are taking up different issue.

You know I will tell you something straight. I have been brought up in UK. Of course my Pakistan heritage weighs heavy but I have always [still] feel sense of loyalty to UK which has given me everything. A very good life. And will do for my children. But you know seeing millions of Poles, Slovaks, Romanians, Estonians most of them barely literate walk in to UK and take jobs like it was their god given right hurt me deep down. When I look at them it reminds me of something. That wider Britain considers these people as belonging to their wider Christian European civilization. That is why millions of these workers walked in. Why not Indians? Why not Sri Lankans?

This is what you call ummah. Not the delusion we have. And faster Pakistani's wake up the better it is for all. The day I see KSA/GCC offer the same facility to Pakistani workers to the exclusion of Indians I will prostate at the alter of ummah - Saudia Arabia !

Forget about oil. Forget about giving aid. Forget about investments. How about convincing KSA/GCC to do something that would not even cost them one dollar. Ask KSA/GCC to give Pakistani workers legal preferance. Meaning any jobs in KSA/GCC are advertised on preferance to Pakistan employees. If Pakistan employees do not meet the requirement or are not qualified then the job concerned can be tendered out. This would not cost KSA/GCC one dime.

However it would suddenly open the possibilty of million or so Pakistani workers getting jobs in Middle East at the expense of Indians, Sri Lankans, Philipinos. The remittances that would flow in would sort out the account deficits overnight. All that is required for KSA/GCC to give first right, first preferance to Pakistani workers.

You think KSA/GCC would even do this for their ummah brother? Like jackshit they will. Wake up and smell the rotting camel plesase ...............

You know "preferential discrimination of labor " which you are suggesting has consequences right.From the countries that are being discriminated against to retributive action against the host country elsewhere.

And just to place it on record India earns via their workers in KSA/GCC nearly $50 billion every year as remittances. Most of that could have been comming to Pakistan as remittances. Instead that money goes to puff up Modi's chest.

Moonlight, what i am saying is currently about Saudis.Sure , if you guys create an economic/political coalition with them, get to a common currency , go ahead implement it.BUT, you have to do all these things before you reach to your desired "selective preference" goal.
