Pakistan avoid FATF blacklist move again but danger still lurks

This is just speculation. The meeting is in October and that is when this will be decided. Both Turkey and Malaysia may fall prey to US pressure in the meantime. Also there are other things they can do short of blacklisting:

The watchdog agreed that Islamabad had made progress towards implementation of the action plan — negotiated between Pakistan and the FATF members — in June last year but still sought “dissuasive sanctions” and “ effective prosecution” in this connection.

They can keep making demands like the above. It's a cloud that hangs over our economy:

Islamabad requires at least 15 out of 36 votes to move out of the watchdog’s grey list, which is causing an estimated loss of $10 billion per year.

Pakistan making Malaysia supporting them public is crucially giving USA/India and other countries a chance to work/dissuade/threaten Malaysia before the October meet. Why go public with this? I don't understand.

The irony is that Mahatir is in power today because of a money laundering scandal in Malaysia. The 1MDB scandal cost the last PM his job!

Go **** yourself India and US.
Why is SaudiArabia and UAE not in the list, previously they supported Pakistan, no more love for us? @Khafee
You assume they would support Pakistan.
But they don't . In international arena they tow us line..

Ok India and US will **** themselves.. but why are you even on the list? If Pakistan can take actions (and I really appreciate) now, then why could not they do it before... So what were you waiting for? Grey list? Thank god... You are on the list... Atleast you are acting to stop money laundering... Because you wouldn't have done that from your own. Yes India pushed and we pushed very hard..(you can still claim India can do nothing but we know our diplomats have done some great job to have earned the curses from you) and we will continue pushing..Cuz your garbage was spilling into our bin... You no doubt suffered from terrorism.. But why should we take any of that Sh**. So yeah... I love it when you abuse India wrt to you being in the grey list.
Lol are you like real?
Do you really think that money laundering can be stopped in third world countries..
Compare the money laundered from Pakistan to money laundered from India . There would be a huge difference.
It is only a joke and pressure tactic which y us used.
India think it is used because of us where as it is not . Us didn't damn care about its allies... The only think us can do is to pressurise us into helping them achieve peace in Afghanistan . This is their idea or trump administration idea of dealing with Pakistan while they are buy in Iran and internal politics.

You want to drown 220 million people?!
I thanked his comment, gave me the biggest laugh of the day.

Anyway, Pakistan is still on the grey list, which SMQ admits costs Pakistan ten billion dollars a year, and it is not going to get off the list anytime soon, so this is no reason to celebrate.

India did or did not? There seems to be a typo from your end.. Anyway leave it... Lok
He is ignorant about how Pakistan's attempts to destroy India only helped to destroy its own economy

.
No point blaming India. Blame state who have systematically allowed money laundering for elite. Terrorists taking advantage of that is just one aspect.

.
India is fucking pain in our *** I want to take my country away and place it somewhere in middle of Atlantic these stinky Hindus are just unbearable.

I hope some day your wish becomes true...But unfortunately...we will have to deal with each other..

Observers cant participate cant vote.Saudia full membership was on agenda point 9 but very less chance its going to approved Indonesia will apply in next meeting after implementing some framework

GCC is a full member, and essentially is the Saudi vote (given Saudi was only GCC country objecting and then changing its position):

https://www.dawn.com/news/1416630

A 37-nation FATF plenary held its first meeting on Pakistan in February where China, Turkey and Saudi Arabia opposed the United States-led move to place Pakistan on the watchlist. But the US pushed for an unprecedented second discussion on Pakistan, held on February 22.

By then, Washington had convinced Riyadh to give up its support to Pakistan in return for a full FATF membership. This left only two – China and Turkey – in the Pakistan camp, one less than the required number of three members to stall a move.

Saudi full membership (as separate member from GCC) was itself stalled later in that year, but it will be revisited:

FATF is a joke. Some of the biggest money laundering and terrorist backing nations are members. Pakistan should engage it however we need to reduce any threat from it. Boost the domestic financial industry and develop a gold backed digital currency.

Staying off the black list is indeed a success worth celebrating.

We are celebrating here when other countries like China and not to mention our BC brotherly muslim countries trying to put us on blacklist. This is not a diplomatic success but utter failure of diplomacy.

Most countries are being neutral...Its the Americans and Indians that are continuing to push this issue. Being on the grey list is not really hurting us but we should try to get off. The grey list would hurt us more if the USA didn't have to sign off on the IMF bailout to get Abhi released.

We have to lobby the British to stop supporting the Americans and Indians on the issue.....since pragmatically...there complaints not really going anywhere.
