I think if Pakistan would have followed Iranian model of handling Afghan
refuges things would have been much better as law and order is concern.

Ever wonder why the establishment blames the afghan refugees for all the ill...including extremism(while these afghan refugees were brainwashed in Pakistani Madrassa not the other away around) and yet they never really take any steps to send these refugees back.
The reason for that are as fallow:
1-Gov is scared if it takes any drastic step against these refugees almost all Pashton...it will anger the local pashtons.

Why would the local Pashtun be angered when the refugee camps are an eyesore, provide cheap labor that takes jobs away from local Pashtun, and possibly also engage in crime? My interactions with Pakistani Pashtun have indicated the overwhelming majority would prefer repatriation of the refugees.

2-the refugees can still be used as scapegoat...while the corrupt politician and army people continue sucking the blood of country. (to give u one example.. HamidGul ex ISI chief has turn into a millionaire...how can he afford a transportation company worth millions of dollars with his salarly as army officer? where he got the money? or MR 10% and Ghanja Nawaz.)

Are you suggesting that Army officers are beyond entrepreneurship after retirement? Aren't many successful business ventures started by people with little income and resources to begin with?

And what do successful businesses by Army officers or others have to do with 'scapegoating Afghan refugees', which as far as I can tell has never been an election slogan or vote getting tool?

3- These refugees can still be used as recruit for taliban...specially when the establishment has not abandon their strategic dept policy..so yea they want to keep the refugees.

Complete speculation. Who is stopping the refugees from going back?

4-These refugees brings hundred of million of dollars to pakistan..almost all refugees has relative over sea whom send money...moreover the afghan hand craft and carpet which are exported under Pakistan brings millions. Last year according to Sarhad Chamber of commerce.. afghan refugee made carpets brought more then $200 millions.(check their website)

Awesome, with that much money, who is stopping the refugees from going back to Afghanistan?
