The only institution in Pakistan where anyone and I mean "anyone" from any ethnicity, any background, can excel purely on the basis of merit/ability.

Girl you have made us all proud.

Why is it so important to talk about her religious beliefs?
Because it is a positive news and shows her success so her being Christian must be highlighted. While if a Muslim does good; try to skip mentioning his or her name or at least do not mention he is Muslim. However, if a Muslim guy does something bad, then his religion should be mentioned clearly in the headlines..

And these libturds won't appreciate that it is Pakistan who provided her the chance to grow and Pak army recruited her and gave the opportunity to excel in a Muslim army.

Why is it so important to talk about her religious beliefs?

There are many reasons for that we Pakistanis understand them too well.

Majority of the Christians in Pakistan do come from more than humble backgrounds (there are exceptions but majority of them do come from mentioned backgrounds), we have had our share of religious fanaticism but I think we are growing out of it, with the emerging sapling of nationalism of being Pakistanis we cherish that a lady from humble backgrounds, from a certain religious background, from a really backward district has not only made it through Pakistan Army's rigorous selection criteria for officers a.ka. ISSB, but excelled to an extent that she has earned distinction for the country by winning an international competition and this is what makes us proud of her.
