Pakistan Army chief vows to wipe out corruption

They are property dealers first and foremost. Don't you still get it?

Will he finally crack down on Whiskey smuggling first?
There you go clutchy, you're going for a second decade of anti-Pakistan and anti-Pakistan army sickness, what a chronic desease you have.

.
Then he should begin from himself and set an example.
On another note who has given him the mandate to do so? Certainly not the people of Pakistan.
I have said it before the chuppa that Shahbaz let government gave to army will come back and haunt them. PPP has already started to feel the heat. PTI already against the wall. PMLN will be next.

One good decision Imran took as PM was sacking this nutjob. Hopefully he gets to do the same again.
With hindsight IK may have known he whisky was corrupt and got rid of him.. also had gut feeling about anjum hence he was hesitant to have him as isi chief but Bajwa forced him on him with lies about his integrity and fitness for the job..

Extension makes sense if a military operation of significant strategic value is underway.

The financial profile of military is already set in place. The guarantees to foreign stake holders have been given also. Now further statements are coming out for them that the new projects to be undertaken with military guarantee will go smoothly. It’s an era where ksa, China etc puts its trust in military than civilian government because they know military will stay, come what may.

What’s actually required is a COAS who ignores the issues faced by civilian leadership in leading Pakistan but that became an excuse for martial law in the past. However, the COAS knows military has a firm foothold in local defence industry as well as other financial ventures like FFC, FFBL, Askari, DHA etc, so concentration should be solely on defence even if the country is going towards an economic collapse, but here the concept of saviour is coming in, which is really unnecessary since it makes military a stakeholder too and that induces financial corruption within military which will then be left to handle for the next COAS.

Back in mushy era, the military’s operational decision making went to VCOAS since mushy had other ideas to gain power and here now it’s becoming about consolidating another foothold in governance through business, loans and financial means.

Going this much deep into political and economical stanzas even for sake of revival was never required. Alienating from these would have been much better but then sometimes the stake holders want guarantee from military and this has got to end.
Here comes the forum apologist for these haram khoors, right on queue

What general Hafiz Munir has to do in everyone business?? First he arranged meeting with businessmen, Then political statement to end corruption. Fool, go back to Barracks. You are not elected person in parliament. This is not army job to do politics . You job is to protect land but not to interfere in parliament, like installing and removing prime ministers.

the most anti Pakistan organisation as it stands now is the Pakistan Army.. think about all negative traits people outside Pakistan perceived to have and you guessed it the source is the Pakistan army

> Double dealers - Pak Army ie support for Taliban

> Terrorism - Pak Army

> Corruption - Pak Army ie submarine deal etc

> incompetence - Pak Army ie losses to india.. seriously who losses to india?...

> Weak democratic credentials - Pak Army

> Mass murder - Pak Army - ie East Pakistan

you want me to continue?....

We will wipe out corruption by making it legal, with new laws.

So it would be considered as a business, business as usual.

The business of corruption, the new normal, now legal, legit and with full protection from the forces.

Forces are the harbinger of corruption, now legal.

How about I spell it out like a 5 year old to the Establishment.

1. Ask all Generals (serving and retired) posted in high positions from SOEs.

2. Close down political engineering cell and p0rn editing cell.

3. Withdraw from oil mafia and tanker mafia businesses.

4. Keep the current DHA plots but suspend any new expansions.

5. Army owned enterprises can be kept but suspend any new ventures.

6. COAS comes under defense minister and ISI chief needs to be a civilian reporting to PM.

7. Any Retired General cannot serve abroad for 10 years.
