- The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Pakistan Army General Raheel Sharif paid a courtesy call on President Maithripala Sirisena, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, at the President's Office today (08).
The discussions focused on a number of matters pertaining to defense cooperation.
General Sharif presented a mementos to President Sirisena to mark the occasion, symbolizing the goodwill of the two friendly forces.
Secretary to the President P.B.Abeykoon, Defence Secretary U.B.Basnayake and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva were present.
The Pakistan Chief of the Army Staff is in Sri Lanka on a five-day official visit at the invitation of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Crishantha De Silva.
