7000Kgs food, 2000Kgs medicines distributed among earthquake victims
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army in its ongoing rescue and relief operation, has so far distributed 7000 Kilograms of food items, 1000 Kilograms medicine and 200 tents among earthquake affectees in Balochistan.
Cooked food is also being provided to homeless people in Awaran.
More relief goods to include tents, blankets water and food items are enroute from Quetta and Karachi, said an ISPR press release.
Field medical facility comprising 21 doctors and 50 para medics are providing medical treatment to injured in Mushke, Khuzdar and Awaran.
It is worth mentioning here that number of troops participating in rescue operation have grown upto 1200 now.
The rescue and relief operation continued in the earthquake affected areas of Mashke, Awaran and Khuzdar by Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps troops.
Relief efforts continued at night by Army helicopters, to evacuate injured people from different areas to medical facility established at Awaran and Khuzdar.
Ten Pakistan Army helicopters are participating in rescue operations. So far 17 sorties have been flown to affected areas.
As many as 500 wounded were evacuated/treated from different areas of Mushke and Awaran to District hospital Awaran by Army/Frontier Corps troops.
