Possible Future for PAA's Cobra Fleet?
Pic : 2 shows an upgraded AH-FB of the Royal Bahrain Airforce at BIAS 22. Bahrain's Ah 1Fs were upgraded by Turkey.
In Pakistan's scenario, a fleet of 20~ upgraded can be used for active counter-insurgency operations in the west.

New defensive aids and countermeasures include the Orbital ATK AAR-47 missile approach warning system and Extant Aerospace AN/ALE-47 chaff /flare dispensers.

The integrated design and lightweight components of the new avionics system cut the aircraft’s weight by 300 lbs(136 kgs) when compared to the unmodernized Jordanian AH-1F/S.

In Conclusion, PAA can explore the possibility of upgrading 20~ cobras out of its fleet of 42~ to use for counter-insurgency operations in the west.
