Pakistan Air Force's Sniper Team beat India in Sniper Frontier Competition of International Military Games-2021

Well if that is true then both India and Pakistani teams need to be listed in the Hall of Shame and the powers that be need to focus more on coming up to par with at least basic standards.
I'm not disregarding our shortcomings but china usually sends specially trained personnel to such competitions which doesn't reflect the general training or skillset of their regular troops while Belarus has the home advantage. The competition usually is modeled per other similar ones held in Russia giving it more familiarity over other countries

Secondly, Indian Army doesn't have a dedicated sniper training program but the marksmen (top of their class in regular shooting) are handed over a sniper. Heck we still use the age old Dragunovs with shitty scopes except the few Victrix Scorpios and Barrett M95s we procured recently in limited numbers. Atleast the pakistani sniper scene is fairly better since y'all have sniper schools since a couple of decades

Though these competitions don't reflect real world scenarios any bit at all, I would really wanna see a competition between NATO teams and Soviet bloc countries given the former has a lot of battle experience

Erm it's an Air Force team hint, hint non-specialists in this role.

Don't know about others but speaking of specially trained, rus always comes to the top, they selected the best men from the whole armed forces while we made rotation from brigade to brigade each year.
