To me, being a non pashtun myself with little relevant knowledge, isn't this the first time a concerted effort is made to address the need for national patriotic songs in pashtu? I can remember one earlier such song but it was multi-lingual...

To me, being a non pashtun myself with little relevant knowledge, isn't this the first time a concerted effort is made to address the need for national patriotic songs in pashtu? I can remember one earlier such song but it was multi-lingual...

There were a few but they weren't specific to Pakistan, just pakhtoons in general. After the 12 year war, patriotism increased many folds and then all these songs and poetry was made. The nationalism is at its peak right now
