Why are conspiracy theories so entrenched in the Muslim world? Everything that happens is a conspiracy and someone else's fault. The poor Muslims always being framed. OBL is alive, Israel trained Squirrels to spy on Iran, 9/11 was Mossad/CIA, NATO is funding terrorists against Pakistan etc etc.

Muslims are such an infantile people. When is enlightenment going to come to Islam?

Look at the history between christianity and Islam. what do u expect? Did u ever see them working together in lasts 1400 years besides fighting?

Democracy Means everybody kiss Sonia Gandhi's balls.

Sonia Gandhi is a woman!!!

You know guys I went to check if there was any other news agency publishing such an article.

There is no other news agency publishing such an article.

This Hindustan Times article is a lie!

If you go to Dawn, the Hindustan article story is not there.

Go to Xinhua, Al Jazeera, RT, no such nonsensical story exists.

ISI doesn't act independently, takes orders from Kayani: Jones

ISI does not act independently and takes instructions from Pakistani army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, says a former top aide of US President Barack Obama, asserting that the spy agency has links with the dreaded Haqqani network of Taliban.

Gen (Retd) James Jones, who was Obama's National Security Adviser from January 2009 to October 2010, told the popular Charlie Rose show on the PBS news network that ISI "does not act independently of General Kayani."

Agreeing with the interviewer that the ISI has relationship with the Haqqani network, Jones argued that the Pakistani spy agency does not do things which are not approved by Gen Kayani.

"So therefore the buck stops with him (Kayani)," Rose commented.

To this, Jones said: "For reasons that they should explain perhaps at some point, the military influence in Pakistan on the destiny of the nation is very high in relation to the position that they occupy.

"In other words, we don't have a (Pervez) Musharraf running the government. But it isn't far from that in terms of the influence that the military has. So I know that people point at the ISI. But you know who ran the ISI before General (Shuja) Pasha," an apparent reference to Kayani.

Jones said that he had many conversations with Kayani in this regard when he was the National Security Adviser. And during these conversations Kayani, according to Jones, defended their support to extremist elements.

"We have no faith in you that you're going to stay and you're going to do what you say you're going to do... so we're covering our bets...," Jones quoted Kayani as telling him during their meetings.

Jones said that what happens in Pakistan is very hard to explain in a rational, logical sense. "Because the conclusion that I draw is that this is a country that is hell-bent on self-destruction."

Hard to believe Kayani didn't know of Osama's hideout: Ex-Obama aide

Months after Osama bin Laden was killed in a covert operation in Abbottabad, a former US national security adviser has said it is "inconceivable" that Pakistani army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani did not know where the al-Qaeda chief was hiding.

"I think that's inconceivable," Gen (Retd) James Jones told the popular Charlie Rose show on the PBS news network last evening.

His comments came when asked: "Do you accept that Gen Kayani and others did not know that Osama bin Laden was in Pakistan?"

Jones, who was the national security adviser to President Barack Obama from January 2009 to October 2010, said "My personal opinion is that I just find it hard to believe."

The response from Jones gains significance as even though he was not the top Obama adviser when operation bin Laden took place on May 2 in Pakistani garrison city of Abbottabad, he was indeed part and parcel of the Obama team and privy to the intelligence information and classified documents when the planning for this secret mission started.

"This is getting back to my point about there is no logic here" in Kayani and others in Pakistan not knowing about bin Laden's hideout, Jones said, when asked "So what were they thinking about?"

Given the way Pakistan has reacted to the incursions made by USA , I think pak would have done nothing if India would have taken out the military camps by surgical strikes....

Your sarker and armed forces does not share the same amount of confidence as you do as taking on the US of A is one thing but India is no USA and neither does India enjoys that level of superiority over Pakistan for it to strike Pakistan without the consequence of a back fire.

So the question Mr jones should really be asking to himself is that since its hard to believe that Kyani did not knew about Osama presence, then it means Obama and his whole team was also bullshitting when they said Pakistan and its institutions had no idea where Osama was and neither were they involved. IN this case Mr Jones you should really be worried since your very own government is not only supporting the terrorist supporters but also covering their tracks up. I wonder why there is an Ex with Obama aide.
