Violating ceasefire along the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan troops today targetted Indian forward posts by opening heavy firing along the Line of Control (LOC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Eight to nine uniformed personnel were digging close to the Line of Control in Jangard sector of Rajouri district and troops on this side challanged them around 11.30 last night, a senior Army officer said.

They escaped back to the Pakistan side and around 11.45 pm Pakistan troops from several of their posts fired on Indian posts with small arms and machine guns indiscriminately, the officer said.

Indian troops guarding the borderline took positions and fired back resulting in exchanges for over an hour, he said, adding that there was no loss of life or damage to property in the Pak firing.

"Pak has violated the Indo-Pak ceasefire. We will lodge a protest with them", he said.

Do we have any statistics on how many complaints were lodged by India and how many were lodged by Pakistan?

As usual, Indian side would report Pakistan started to open fire, Pakistan side will report that Indian side opened fire, but it is usually the Indian side that has violated in recent years.

Once they fired 4 mortars into Pakistan resulting in a reply from artillery, which was after three days though, and the Indian media reports said 'Pak Army again violates ceasefire, kills 12 jawans'.

I won't agree with the Indian biased media, until Pakistan Army as usual gives it's report to public, holds asks for meetings with Indian Army and then everyone accepts who violated the ceasefire. But sometimes, you have to do it when Indians are smuggling spies into Pakistan, like the one caught recently entering into Pakistan in disguise and false nationality card. ;)

firing keeps happening at LOC

It's a daily occurrence and more than often it's initiated by the Indians. No need to get jumpy..........

 coming from Pakistani side :)

Useless Post Reported

bhailog a freind in army told that whenever there are pressure's building inside pakistan the easiest way to let it escape is to ignite a small episode near LOC & it also helps both millitaries & if 100 round's are fired figure is jacked up to 10000 & thus some general's & officer's mint quick money from arm's blackmarket????????

Might be just trying to wakeup the Army jawans . There is no new episode on LOC for many years so the Jawans on other side are becoming lazy and sleepy heads . This is the best way to wake them up.

ATTTTTTENTION

Baseless stuff people build up.

Here is the picture of Pakistan-India border at night. Do you seriously believe, after all the security, the terrorist-movement could take place? That is pathetic belief. People who haven't been to the border never know what the things are like and are prone to believe in anything that is reported by media.

Note: This picture has been taken from the North, which means, it is from the Islamabad side. Look at the border's lights emittance, and think how is it possible for Indian army to kill our 4 soldiers in a week, for saying them to be mis-understood as militants?
