Pak Suzuki is well on course to replace the 30 year old Mehran with the new Alto. The company has already announced to discontinue its golden egg laying duck, and is currently only delivering the units already booked.

Launch of the new Alto is expected by early 2019, however the company may reveal the car towards the end of this year to get started with bookings. 3 local assembled units of New Alto were recently shipped to the principal company in Japan for testing & approvals..

The New Alto is expected to be priced between PKR 9.5 lac to 11.15 lac however the fluctuation rupee against dollar might affect the final prices.

. . .
Yes the car looks tacky, ugly and hideous...don't think people here will be willing to own this car like vehicle keeping in mind the options available now...one of the reason people hates Pak Suzuki.

And since Pak Suzuki thanks to Mehran is now associated with poor ugly cars any higher variants launched by local Suzuki like Suzuki Ciaz, and Suzuki Vitara will be a failure, as the brand image of Suzuki has suffered enough in the last 30 years or so in Pakistan...thanks to the dabba Mehran, this is the price Pak Suzuki has to pay for fleecing the people for long...

. .
No offense but that front grille design is horrible.
Why doesn't Pak Suzuki launch new cars like they do in India?
Its the same model coming from Japan.

Pak suzuki hasnt changed the overall design, its just that the extra goodies in Japanese version will be replaced with shitty material.

If continue like this I guess they'll need to pack up and leave.

Pak-Suzuki out to loot us again?.
After eating the Average Pakistani out with crappy mehran for 3 decades. Ceasing Mehran only because of the launch of United Bravo a much better car in this range.
I can bet they will bring the most basic variant of Alto with an out dated engine intead of current gen engine used worldwide. With a Hilarious Price tag just like the cultus.
They have earned Billions from Pakistan without putting any effort of TOT fro Suzuki japan to local market.

Another waterdown version of the Japanese Model

it is the same model released in Japan unless you want Pak Suzuki to introduce their own design.

The Japanese variant is a 660cc Kei car, Pakistani version of the alto is expected to continue using the recent version Mehran Euro-2 EFI 800cc engine. There are some other cost cutting measures in place as well.

I don't understand the branding of Pak Suzuki too much of their product line is similar, and in someways they are competing against each other. However they continue earning record sales since they make the cheapest cars and they get massive orders from corporate and government sector as fleet cars.
Alto
Wagon R
Cultus
Swift
These cars have just 1-1.5 lac difference between the next model. If Alto is to be launched it will have to be a approx 8.5-9.5 lac car since Wagon R is 11.5 lac else it's too similar to Wagon R which is more spacious and has a 1000cc engine, dropping Wagon R won't be feasible since its very popular as a Uber/Careem car with good backlog of orders.

At 8.5-9.5 lac range if you don't want a used car than this would be a very attractive offer as a lot of households prefer having a cheap everyday car as a daily driver besides a higher spec car for family use.

I highly doubt if this will be below 10 under any circumstances which is why suzuki has increased prices of its existing vehicles 5 times in this year alone. Wagon R is now crossing 12 Mark.
Yes the engine will be different however i was specifically talking from the design aspect.

Aahh! Didn't knew that. I think if they make any local changes the prices would again go up and with current prices itself look high and people will opt for Wagon R which is better than this car

Suzuki is notorious in making profit over anything else. Believe it or not, Indians hate that they won't launch certain models and variants in order to maximise profit with existing line up. But thanks to the huge market, huge line-up, local R&D and excellent after sales, these complaints go under the radar. If the market as a whole doesn't "deserve" it, or if there are no (especially local) competitors, they're not gonna give it you. This holds true for most manufacturers to varying degrees, but Suzuki sometimes is just weird.

But I prefer the weird Suzuki designs over Maruti-Suzuki ones.
